We’re recruiting for a new team of Customer Service Specialists to join our Retirement Retail business with a starting salary of £22,000-£22,500 plus bonus*.

This is a hybrid role where you’ll work 35 hours a week; 3 days from home and 2 days in our Cardiff office and, work Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

Internally, this role maybe called something different, depending on which team you join. We’ll work with you on which department compliments your personality and strengths best.

Our Customer Service teams are made up of professionals from different backgrounds including care, teaching, call centre, retail, and hospitality.

Your role at a glance

This is a telephony based role within our Legal & General Home Finance Team. We are looking for individuals that are able to  build rapport quickly, ensure full understanding, identify vulnerable indicators and treat customers with empathy, professionalism and understanding.

Time management is also important as you need to be able to deliver on promises made to customers. 

This is a permanent role, working 35 hours per week, during the telephony open hours (currently 8:00-17:30). What's more, there is no weekend work, as you will only work Monday to Friday (2 days at the office and 3 days at home)!

The role holder will provide an accurate, compliant and timely service and carry out more complex customer transactions, complaint responses, and data analysis. 

The role holder will keep up to date with all compliance rules and requirements including data protection, money laundering, breaches, complaints and controls, conduct of business and treating customers fairly.

Your role at a glance

We have an interesting and varied Head of Capital Management role that has become available within our Lifetime Mortgage (LTM) business here at L&G.

In this role you will influence the strategy and manage the development of L&G’s modelling and valuation of our Lifetime Mortgage portfolios. You will also manage the delivery of L&G’s financial reporting metrics in relation to the Lifetime Mortgage portfolios, which will cover metrics including IFRS, Solvency II (both Own Funds and SCR) and risk appetite.

You will also guide stakeholders (including but not limited to senior management, external auditors and PRA) in understanding financial reporting metric results and the potential implications of these. As well as working with other members of the LTM Actuarial team to ensure the commercial success of the end-to-end Lifetime Mortgage business to Legal & General. 

This role can be based from either our London or Hove Offices or if you live further afield, we could consider a Home Working arrangement (with occasional travel to office locations required)

Whilst this role has been advertised as a Full-Time position, we would also actively encourage applications from Part Time workers.
