You will be in the Operations team of LGC supporting the management and monitoring of IT and data risk together with other operational risks in the L&G Capital Business.

The role holder will be in the Operations team of LGC supporting the management and monitoring of IT and data risk together with other operational risks in the L&G Capital Business.

The role holder will support the LGC executive team in other activities including due diligence of new investments, setting up of start-up businesses, etc.

Accountabilities will include:

Act as the Data Processing Officer for LGC with responsibility for:

  1. Implementation of Data and Information Management processes and controls and monitoring performance to ensure compliance.   
  2. Coordinating SARs (Subject Access requests) and other data requests which involve more than one part of the business.
  3. Reporting and investigation of breaches.
  4. Implementing a data classification and retention process across LGC.
  5. Annual review of controls and processes.

Monitor IT compliance to maintain IT security and manage the security strategic plan to deliver improvements.

On-going management of Group and LGC Policies with particular reference to LGC wholly owned subsidiaries including:

  1. Management of sharepoint site or other solutions to ensure policies can be accessed by all appropriate staff.
  2. Liaising with Group Policy owners to help shape policies which are fit for purpose for LGC.

Ensure business continuity plans are in place and tests carried out across the LGC businesses.

 

Experience required:

  1. Experience in IT support and understanding of IT security.
  2. Experience of GDPR and Data Retention practises (preferred).
  3. Expertise in PMO including creation and monitoring of plans.
  4. Experience of designing and documenting processes.
  5. Demonstrate experience of analysis of data and extracting information to create appropriate reports.
  6. Experience of auditing/reviewing information.
