We are looking to hire a Senior DevOps Engineer - API specialist to lead a team on API development and production incident resolution.

  • Lead a DevOps team specialist on API Development & production incident resolution
  • Hands-on contribution to the technical code and design documentation
  • Develop relationships with partners & project managers by translating API requirements into design implementations & take ownership for API implementation
  • Own the Technical Relationships with various consumers of the APIs
  • Provide Technical support including Technical Enablement on Application, Solution Development and Implementation of Roadmap  & effort estimates
  • Support & undertake evaluations and technical proof-of-concepts
  • Evaluate and recommend the development methodologies, frameworks and modeling techniques
  • Identify and address design challenges and work closely with architecture community
  • Ensure that the application design is adequately documented and approved
  • Understand / apply reusable code design, leverage application architecture / framework capabilities and functionality, and design / develop solutions that are highly reliable, scalable, and perform to meet business-defined service levels
  • Conduct code reviews and ensuring quality solutions are built and tested
  • Take full ownership of code quality and implementation of API designs into fully working APIs
  • Assist developers during the development process to address any technical and design challenges
  • Govern & design CI/CD pipelines from Development through to Production implementation
  • Manage application build & deployment into cloud platforms
  • Experienced in Mule technologies (Anypoint platform) design, devlepment & implementation
  • Experience of Jenkins, Maven, Chef, Puppet
  • Working knowledge of JIRA
  • Strong experience in Java
  • Scripting abilities using Java Script, Python, Perl. Experience of React will be an added advantage
  • Experienced in agile software delivery practice using a team based at onshore & using partner resources based at offshore
  • Hands-on experience of application development & deployment in Cloud (AWS and / or Azure) & related technologies such as Serverless / Dockers
  • Solid understanding of DevOps, Continuous Integration, deployment & operations concepts & demonstrable working experience in these areas
