We use the latest BI tools to extract data from source systems transforming, combining and integrating it into our data warehouse. We also provide data services & reporting to the business via a range of different data delivery & visualisation tools.

As a successful candidate you will be taught how to use tools such as Wherescape, Microsoft Power BI, MS SQL Server, Business Objects and the programming languages that underpin some of them. You will have the opportunity to work with more traditional data sources like DB2 & Oracle as well as the potential to learn about cloud based data solutions, as the team continues to extend its technology stack & capability. We will support & train you on your journey to becoming a BI technology guru & your desire for constant personal self-development is absolutely crucial. Constant Changes in the industry surface new technologies and, with them, the need to learn the skills to leverage them.

There is also the potential to learn about supporting our Salesforce environments.

An advantage:

•Worked in a data centric role in the past or has a programming background.

•Previous experience in Business Intelligence tools, such as Power BI, Business Objects etc.

•Knowledge of SQL and a good understanding of databases (i.e. MS SQL Server /Oracle/DB2).

•Understanding of web centric data exchange technologies (JSON, XML, XSLT etc.).

•Any exposure to programming languages or web development (i.e. VBA, Java, R, HTML, ASP).

•Awareness of Agile development & ScruCutm/Sprint driven delivery.

•Any experience in working with cloud based technologies.

•Technology related qualifications (i.e. degree/professional).
