Lead the development of compelling client & member communication strategies alongside engaging & innovative technology solutions within DC workplace pensions.  Champion the member experience/voice of the customer across all product & proposition delivery. Ensure that plans are delivered on time and to budget thereby supporting LGIM with any proposition launches and with its overall DC sales and retention targets and ambitions.

Purpose:

Lead the development of compelling client & member communication strategies alongside engaging & innovative technology solutions within DC workplace pensions.  Champion the member experience/voice of the customer across all product & proposition delivery. Ensure that plans are delivered on time and to budget thereby supporting LGIM with any proposition launches and with its overall DC sales and retention targets and ambitions.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Deliver & contribute to  the overarching communication strategy for all LGIM product, proposition & investment launches within workplace pensions. Deliver compelling messaging & content to communications colleagues.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders across the business to develop innovative and engaging communications solutions (online & offline) that meet the business objectives and improve the customer experience in a cost effective way.  Align with Group where appropriate.
  • Undertake continuous analysis of the competitive environment and consumer trends in order to inform and influence the use of new and innovate communications channels and solutions. Manage the relationship with our Business Insights partner in L&G. and commission research where appropriate.
  • Measure the impact and effectiveness of the communication propositions & online solutions to inform future strategy, taking accountability for the continual improvement & management of propositional materials
  • Work with the Head of Marketing Services to agree channel strategies and secure resources to implement your communication strategies, within budget and to plan.
  • Lead a team high performing communications professionals. To take the lead in all matters with regard to the management of employees, ensuring that management discretion is used in a consistent manner and that the area follows Group’s policies and procedures including the Partnership Agreement, to maximise the performance of the area.
  • Provide proposition & digital product expertise and leadership on business projects representing the voice of the customer and user experience within these.
  • In support of the Head of DC Client Communications provide leadership, ensuring that effective people, processes, systems and controls are in place and that functions are integrated effectively to ensure  communication plans adhere to L&G’s customer experience and TCF policies

Qualifications:

  • Professional qualifications in relation to the role are essential for example PMI, AFPC, IMC, CIM, IDM
  • UX or UI qualification desirable

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Proven track record of success in senior marketing/product/Proposition roles
  • Proven track record in leading digital product or propositions teams within a financial services environment, ideally with a workplace pensions focus
  • A strong commercial background and experience of building successful strategies to drive the desired business and customer outcomes
  • Proven track record of building compelling business cases to secure funding/investment in technology solutions
  • Specific experience is required of:
  • Project management, Prince2 desirable
  • Agile working practices,
  • Digital platforms including CMS, voice, app development
  • Research & segmentation techniques, including the ability to analyse and predict market trends
  • Budget Planning, forecasting and financial management
  • Strong understanding is required of:
  • The DC market place, and how the business operates commercially and financially across the various distribution channels
  • LGIM’s products and services
  • LGIM’s competitors
  • The regulatory framework
  • Experience leading a team of multi-disciplinary high performing professionals to successfully plan and execute marketing programmes

  • Excellent stakeholder management experience, comfortable with challenging senior stakeholders when required

  • Good bundled pension & investment fund product awareness
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to articulate and convey issues and ideas to senior stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner
