As a Test Analyst you will have an important role in the delivery of the transformation and business growth objectives of the division.  You will drive successful project delivery through collaboration with the operational teams to ensure the project deliveries meet business need via innovative test definition and execution.

As a Test Analyst you will have an important role in the delivery of the transformation and business growth objectives of the division.  You will drive successful project delivery through collaboration with the operational teams to ensure the project deliveries meet business need via innovative test definition and execution.

  • Creates and executes tests and test plans that deliver the required validation of functionality via a risk based approach across a number of projects, taking both GDPR and environment constraints into consideration. Where applicable, lead a team of business SMEs for the execution of tests.
  • Creates automated tests that reduce regression effort during and after project delivery.
  • Identifies opportunities to enhance and implement the automation strategy and QA approach for project using the tools and training which are in place across the software development lifecycle.
  • Delivers effective & timely communication to Test Managers and Project Managers.
  • Proactively works with both business and 3rd party testers to ensure coverage across all test stages is adequate and unique.
  • Provides input into defining the appropriate test approach in collaboration with the Test Manager, ensuring effective test preparation and execution.
  • Understands the principles of Business Transformation and is able to translate these principles into business/people change activities and project outcomes.
  • Ensures that the principles of Conduct Risk and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) are embedded into your day to day operations to deliver good customer outcomes at all times.
  • Ensures that all business processes and internal controls within your role are designed and performed in a way that delivers good customer outcomes and demonstrates effective management of Conduct Risk.

Essential:

  • ISTQB (Foundation) qualified 
  • BSc degree iComputer Science or equivalent
  • A good understanding of testing tools e.g. Jira, ALM, Selnium
  • Experience on working in agile delivery environment e.g. Scrum
  • Experience gained within the Financial Services sector

Preferred:

  • Background in Pensions, Annuities, Asset & Liability Management and / or Investments and understanding of the products, regulations and the UK Pensions market.

Skills required:

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills in order to influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to self-manage and work in a dynamic environment
  • The willingness to embrace new technologies and influence other parts of the business to adopt
  • A relentless drive towards paperless working, wherever possible
  • The willingness and ability to work without the constraints of a fixed office or desk location, focusing on outcomes and benefits, rather than tasks and measures
  • The ability to manage and benefit from virtual meetings, with limited reliance on face-to-face meetings
