We are recruiting for a Management Information Analyst to produce regular management information deliveries to the business areas within LGRR Retirement Income. Ensure these deliverables are high quality and provide insight and context in order to make these useful for decision making.

  • Produce regular management information deliveries to the business areas within LGRR Retirement Income. Ensure these deliverables are high quality and provide insight and context in order to make these useful for decision making.
  • Continuously develop processes so that deliverables are done in the most efficient way.
  • Satisfy ad hoc requirements from internal customers in a flexible and insightful manner; this will support LGRR’s agenda to grow our market share and ‘disrupt’ the annuities market.
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with all teams within Retirement Income. Provide advice and guidance on data to improve their knowledge and understanding. Challenge and guide requests coming from internal customers to ensure output is relevant to the business needs.
  • Support the Retirement Income Transformation agenda by contributing to projects as a subject matter expert to ensure management information outputs from projects are useful to the business.
  • Understand the data systems and structures within the business. Contribute towards improvements to these systems where possible and link understanding of source data to value-adding management information.

SYSTEMS

Advanced knowledge of Office software packages such as MS Office, Business Objects, MS Excel and MS Access

Knowledge of Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) and SQL useful but not essential

MARKETS

Previous experience in retirement products and annuities useful

An awareness of the market in which LGRR operates including impacts of financial markets, political policy and customer sentiment

REGULATORY

The role is not authorised and regulated by the FCA and the applicant will not be an Approved Person.

COMMUNICATION

Effective, concise and professional communication and presentation skills.

Ability to tailor complex information to the appropriate level for an audience in order to gain buy in to proposals or concepts

Ability to facilitate discussions with groups of key stakeholders, keeping discussions on track and productive

ANALYSIS

Advanced numerical reasoning with ability to interpret and manipulate large volumes of data

Understanding of principles involved in information systems eg. Database tables

Ability to understand the architecture of MI systems, sufficient to be able to interpret to users

Ability to understand basis of query design and various selection criteria that could be applied

ACHIEVEMENT DRIVE

Ability to plan and prioritize own workload to ensure deadlines are met, and highest impact work is focused on, regardless of individual preference.
