This is a great new opportunity to join an expanding professional change team to support the delivery of projects and change initiatives within the Group Finance division.  

As a Business Analyst you will be fully versed in the principles and concepts of business analysis including requirements elicitation, business process modelling and stakeholder management.

As a member of the Business Analysis team within Modelling & Finance Solutions (MFS) you will support the Group Finance division by;

  • Working with key business stakeholders within the Group Finance division to define requirements specifications, producing high-level and detailed business models.
  • Delivering comprehensive, accurate and high quality business analysis artefacts within agreed project timescales and costs.
    • Actively employ business analysis techniques, tools and methodologies, which effectively support the delivery of change.
    • Gain the appropriate approvals and maintain requirements traceability throughout the lifecycle of the project.
  • Defining, developing and delivering business processes and system solutions
    • Contributing to the assessment of complexity and uncertainty.
    • Proposing solutions identifying alignment with business requirements.
    • Making recommendations to stakeholders taking into account costs, benefits and risks.
  • Contributing to Business Analysis planning;
    • Including the definition of roles & responsibilities of stakeholders.
    • Development of estimates for analysis activity and planning interaction with stakeholders.
    • Defining the business analysis approach for requirements gathering.
    • Defining the business analysis deliverables and the metrics that will be used to monitor progress.
  • Leading business analysis tasks as well as working under the supervision of a Senior or Lead Business Analyst as and when required.
  • Identifying, evaluating and raising risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies that may impact project deliverables.  Proposing mitigating actions where appropriate.
  • Contributing to formal project closedown, including the application of analysis related lessons learned.
  • Continually evaluating the quality of all deliverables, including those of 3rd parties, to ensure the end product is fit for purpose and acceptable.
  • Ensuring alignment to L&G’s Customer Experience and Treating Customers Fairly Policy.
  • Complying with L&G’s agreed methodology, standards, policies and procedures to produce a consistent high standard of documentation, and ensure strong governance.

BCS/ISEB or IIBA certifications in Business Analysis are essential.

Certifications in Business Process Modelling (e.g. BPMN) and/or Unified Modelling Language (UML) are an advantage.

Must be a self-starter and delivery focused with a positive collaborative attitude. Solid experience in a lead business analyst role is an advantage.    

Experience working within Finance Change – particularly financial reporting – is an advantage.

Strong use required of Business Analysis tools, techniques and governance in order to support the delivery of robust business change.
