You will perform, under appropriate guidance, tasks and processes to enable an effective and efficient financial reporting service to the FRC.
This will include the creation of model points and the running of Prophet actuarial calculation software. You will also be involved in the testing of new or updated processes and liaising with the different product teams to deal with ad hoc queries.
Running financial models to produce output required for production of statutory and financial results
Producing model points, experience investigation data reconciliations
Data interrogation, making recommendations and process improvements where possible
Proactively suggest and contribute to the continuous improvement of reporting processes
Support the preparation and development of key MI to provide insight and help drive decision making
Assisting in the development of appropriate timetables, ensuring these are known and understood throughout the team
Maintain and improve process documentation ensuring best practice is adhered to
Providing first line support for various IT systems, including issue resolution, management and liaison with other departments on larger issues
Ongoing development of your knowledge base in respect to products, systems, customer needs and system developments. This includes ongoing development of your technical and soft skills
Excel essential
Knowledge of VBA, SAS or Prophet an advantage
Attention to detail
Ability to work well under pressure
Good with numbers and data, ability to identify trends
Ability to develop an understanding of the L&G reporting processes
Ability to work with internal customers at varying levels
Flexibility and willingness to adapt to business and customer requirements
Familiar with other programmes in the Microsoft Office suite
Develop understanding of financial services reporting processes
