An opportunity within our Workplace Pensions business to develop and deliver the scheme retention strategy for LGIM DC across our bundled client portfolio

 

Develop and deliver the scheme retention strategy for LGIM DC across our bundled client portfolio to ensure a retention rate of no less than 95% whilst contributing to driving profitable business growth. Be the focal point for development of our contact management strategy, maximising LGIM’s thought leadership and visibility to our bundled portfolio of clients

  • Develop, deliver and drive a strategy that ensures we minimise our scheme losses of strategic and large clients to no more than 5% of the book per annum, leading a team of telephone based relationship managers that manage the smaller end of the portfolio deploying mass market, scalable contact management strategies
  • Develop strong relationships with key LGIM strategy and thought leadership individuals to ensure we maximise the LGIM brand to our bundled DC portfolio and develop strategies to ensure the messages are delivered in the most efficient and effective ways
  • On-going and direct liaison with LGIM Product, Operations, DC Client Communications and Sales regarding bundled DC propositional developments, challenges, issues and risks ensuring an optimum market leading proposition is maintained
  • Represent DC Client Management at new business pitches and site visits for existing clients going to the market and contribute to the successful retention of bundled DC Clients. Represent DC Client Management at scheme retention meetings with existing bundled clients to ensure scheme losses are kept to a minimum
  • Own relevant personal relationships with key decision makers on trustee boards and at employer company board level for ‘at risk schemes’ and chair and drive actions at all internal meetings looking at new and on-going schemes at risk
  • Maintain a good knowledge of LGIM DC Pensions proposition and processes as a whole and keep abreast of relevant market activity and legislative developments in order to be able to review ongoing client relationship strategy
  • Professional qualifications in relation to the role are desirable for example PMI, AFPC, IMC and/or Prince2 Practitioner
  • Experience and knowledge of workplace pension product solutions, of the contract and trust based marketplace and institutional investment products, of corporate client & trustee needs and of the competitive and legislative landscapes
  • Experience in leading a multi-function and multi-site, corporate client and trustee facing relationship management or delivery team within a provider, asset manager and/or EBC
  • Experience of managing senior internal and external relationships and of managing complex client projects to fruition
  • Knowledge of financial and commercial matters, ability to formulate and deliver strategies to required timescales and within cost and profitability constraints
  • Demonstrable communication/presentation skill – previous trustee & client facing meeting and presentational experience at a senior level within FTSE 100 employers is a requirement, as is the ability to articulate and convey concepts and ideas in a clear and compelling manner in writing and in person
  • Excellent negotiation skills
