This is a key role for LGIM, covering a number of crucial clients in the South West of England, you will prioritise visiting clients to build and develop broad deep relationships with LGIM’s key Retail Advisory firms. Ensuring a long term strategic relationship is maintained through proactive business planning, including negotiating the appropriate commercial terms whilst coordinating the internal support resource and its deployment.
- Meeting or exceeding sales performance targets, delivering revenue by compliant product distribution and cross-selling opportunities. Including the client commercial negotiations whilst recommending and owning the terms approved by the fee committee. Thereafter managing and monitoring the on-going client relationship to ensure the terms agreed by the fee committee are adhered to, implementing corrective actions if and as required.
- Managing a portfolio of advisory and wealth management firms by relationship managing the key client decision influencers. Developing an intimate understanding of the clients’ business objectives using a variety of source to create a joint business plan including a client contact strategy, distribution service / marketing model, commercial opportunities and bespoke solutions.
- Maintaining a high level knowledge of L&G Investment’s unit trust ranges and the investment philosophy to ensure the client’s investment objectives are delivered. Including managing and inputting into the RFP process as well as working closely with the LGIMs fund management team where necessary.
- Directing and guiding the sales support team to identify and enable these co-teams to develop new Intermediary relationships. Leading quarterly review meetings within internal teams. Acting as a role model for the Wholesale Sales Team providing inspirational guidance to other members of the team based on the LGIM Group behaviours. Maintaining a professional disposition and liaising with colleagues so the Wholesale Sales Team operates as a single business unit.
- Developing and maintaining a strong understanding of competitors and market trends. Using knowledge to identify business opportunities, incorporating them into a business plan. Proactively providing feedback on product requirements and ideas to the propositions team so LGIM become best in class.
- Proactively creating and executing a 3-month forward rolling plan for LGIMs fund management professionals client interaction providing impact analysis feedback and central event engagement.
- Representing LGIM at third party events including group client presentations as a fund and market trend subject matter expert. Initiating and providing feedback to the Senior Manager, Strategic Accounts. Support, present and host (as required) LGIM’s centrally organised client events including External, and Internally organised conferences.
- Treating Customers Fairly (TCF): Ensuring all activity is in accordance with the Group’s requirements and regulatory duties, including that customers are treated fairly in line with L&G’s Customer Experience and TCF Policy.
- Commercial: Strong commercial knowledge and ability to negotiate pre-agreed commercial rates with the clients.
- Corporate business management and relationship management : Strong business planning capability across the client portfolio.
- Product: Strong investment knowledge and a clear understanding of LGIMs broad product range.
- Process: Good understanding of investment processes and philosophies
- External Knowledge: Detailed knowledge of Intermediaries and Wealth clients and their business drivers. Have a clear understanding of competitors and market dynamics
- Negotiating: ability to understand and positively challenge the clients thinking, and be able to articulate and communicate a win win outcome.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills and a confident telephone manner
- Presentation: strong presentation skills for groups over 60 heads.
- Proven client relationship/servicing skills is essential
- Client management for an Asset Management House or Discretionary Investment Manager.
- Ability to manage workflow and contact calendar to ensure follow up to all sales calls in a timely manner
- Processes information and demonstrates behaviours in order to increase the likelihood that will successfully meet the clients’ end goals.
- Full FPC or IMC or equivalent or studying towards qualification would be desirable.
