You’ll manage fellow content creators to help create the kind of content people want to share beyond the L&G community.

Strategy development and stakeholder management

  • Leading communications and content creation for L&G that help make our business a better place to work, contributing to the evolution of our culture and enabling our strategic vision. 
  • Leveraging understanding of L&G’s business strategy, people strategy and overarching communications strategy to create and deliver an outcome focused holistic internal communications strategy to ensure the efficient cascade of information through a variety of channels to all L&G audiences.
  • Creating relationships with key business leaders, acting as a trusted advisor.

 

Strategic and change communications

  • Articulating key narratives and defining strategic messaging for the business, owning editorial and channel management, writing/production and delivery of key communications
  • Forming a key collaborative element of the Group communications team to maximise both the internal and external engagement, ensuring that all channels are leveraged and that messaging is fully aligned
  • Contributing to the articulation of L&G people value proposition, collaborating with external comms colleagues to create and execute consistent messaging across all channels

 

Employee engagement & culture

  • Supporting the continued monitoring and response to employee engagement levels as measured through our Voice survey, helping the business to drive improvements in scores covering engagement, connection and communication as well as our hotspot areas
  • Supporting our culture of inclusivity by leading on communications connected to D&I and wellbeing.

 

Specialist stakeholder support

  • Driving communications improvements and excellence for the business, maximising the effectiveness of our channel matrix and innovating to identify opportunities for new means of communication among our current and potential future colleagues
  • Agreeing key deliverables & goals for internal communications within the business – facilitating delivery of meaningful metrics to guide future strategy and track communications effectiveness

 

People management

  • Managing, motivating and developing employees, in a manner that is consistent with the Company’s policies and procedures the including Partnership Agreement, to maximise the performance of the area.

 

Project Delivery

  • Helping the Internal Communications team to identify key projects within the business area that need support. Being the communications advisor for certain business projects – advising how and why to communicate.
  • Playing a role within the communications workstream of large-scale organisational design changes in the business advising and working with the business to agree the detailed communication plan.
  • Helping facilitate delivery of meaningful metrics to guide future strategy and track communication effectiveness
  • Supporting communications improvements and excellence for the business
  • A relevant professional qualification or suitable experience preferred
  • Excellent project management skills, with an ability to set and meet strict deadlines and mobilise a wider team, including senior stakeholders, to achieve key agreed milestones and objectives.
  • Enthusiastic individual, with a collegiate approach; able to work across all levels of the business and as part of a larger communications team
  • Strong writing skills and the ability to tailor pieces (depending on the audience, situation and spokesperson), create engaging content and express dry or complex subject matters succinctly and clearly, removing all jargon
  • Demonstrable experience of initiating and running successful and innovative communications campaigns
  • Strong experience of maintaining and designing intranet/webpages and creating digital led communications, as well as of using tools to track, monitor and analyse usage so as to inform campaigns
  • Evidence of experience in creating and editing lively, dynamic content and applying creative digital tools or concepts
  • Understanding of wider (external) communications considerations
  • Responsiveness, accuracy, and an eye for detail.
