If this sounds like you, then look no further! Due to portfolio growth, we’re recruiting for a Claims Team Manager to join our Retail Protection team within our Insurance Division, based in Hove. Our opening hours are 0800-1730 Monday to Friday meaning you’ll have the weekends off to relax! We’re offering a starting salary of £35,000- £40,000, dependant on your experience, plus bonus. We are working towards a business model where colleagues will be partially home based and partially from our Hove office. This is a full-time role, working 35 hours a week.

  • You will lead a group of 11-15 colleagues which will include both telephony colleagues and technical experts within our Retail Protection team.
  • The conversations our teams have with individual members can be sensitive by nature; critical illness, terminal illness and bereavement. It’s therefore important that you are an empathetic, supportive, authentic and resilient leader.
  • You’ll create a people culture where colleagues are encouraged to thrive, contribute and be themselves
  • Your team will deliver to targets and provide positive customer experiences. Targets include service levels, quality, customer satisfaction, efficiency metrics and colleague engagement
  • Drive and inspire outstanding team performance
  • Lead by example providing clear direction and effective leadership
  • Understand the drivers of customer satisfaction and implement appropriate actions plans through coaching and development
  • Maintain strong risk mitigation and management control frameworks
  • Define, develop, and deliver processes and systems to ensure a consistent and good level of service that means customer’s expectations are met
  • Someone with experience of leading a team. This doesn’t have to be from our industry specifically although contact centre experience is advantageous. We are looking for someone with amazing people skills- we can give you the tools you need to learn all about Legal and General and our products 
  • Someone who loves supporting people. Someone who is straightforward, ambitious, authentic, collaborative, and purposeful
  • Someone with a proven track record in operational excellence, including leading, driving and motivating a team to achieve KPIs
  • Someone who is passionate in driving a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Someone with strong communication skills and passion to support customers, whatever their personal circumstances
