The FRC Non-Insurance Reporting team is responsible for the delivery of Statutory and Regulatory Reporting for a number of Legal & General entities.

The primary focus of this role will be legal entity financial reporting, driving improvement in the annual statutory reporting processes, and playing a key role in the wider change agenda across the team.

  • You will manage key reporting deliverables for specified entities including quarterly IFRS group reporting submissions, regulatory returns, and annual financial statements in a timely and efficient manner.
  • You will ensure financial reporting is performed accurately, with appropriate liaison and inputs from key internal finance stakeholders.
  • For those legal entities assigned to the role holder, support the statutory audit process including provision of information and resolution of queries, ensuring all requirements are delivered to agreed quality levels and timelines.
  • You will work with key customers on resolving reporting issues, including agreeing reporting requirements and deadlines, with effective communication and presentation of solutions and results.
  • You will develop and maintain positive and constructive relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure deliverables are understood, planned, and delivered for integration into financial reporting processes.
  • You will take a proactive approach to identifying process improvement opportunities both within and outside own team’s processes; ensure ideas are raised, discussed, and prioritised in appropriate forums.
  • For those legal entities assigned to the role holder, maintain process and control documentation, updating as necessary in line with agreed standards.
  • You will represent the team as directed on key projects, providing insight on financial reporting processes, supporting decision making and ensuring requirements are considered and included in project plans.
  • You will ensure that the appropriate Finance MI, processes, and systems are in place to provide support to Group Finance so that customers 
  • Qualified accountant with significant PQE
  • Good knowledge of current IFRS accounting standards and best practice reporting processes.
  • Ability to proactively manage own workload and delegate as appropriate.
  • Ability to work with others to find solutions to process and accounting issues.
  • Ability to develop robust controls and reconciliations.
  • Ability to adapt communication style appropriately to audience.
  • Proactively questioning and improving the status quo, thinking outside the current framework in order to improve productivity, efficiency and processes.
  • Ability to motivate others in order to meet team and individual targets as well as developing the skills and capability of the team.
  • Be part of a culture of teamwork and participation with colleagues both within own and wider teams.
