We now have an amazing 12 Month Fixed-Term opportunity within the Asset Allocation team here within Legal & General Asset Management's (LGIM) Multi-Asset Funds team, which is responsible for the management and growth of our diversified fund range. The team brings experience across investment management, investment consulting, banking, and academia, working with pension funds, insurers, and retail clients.
We are seeking a Front Office Developer to join our team to help drive continued growth for the Multi-Asset and Asset Allocation teams through the build-out of robust and scalable tools. This is a fantastic opportunity for an inquisitive fast learner with technology skills as well as an interest in multi-asset and investments. We are looking for candidates who have a problem-solving mindset, strong knowledge of different programming languages and who are intellectually curious and enjoy working in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
In this very exciting newly created role, you'll be enhancing existing infrastructure used in the Multi-Asset Funds team to make more robust as well as ensuring a smooth transition to updated platforms.
You'll also be inputting to design and development of new tools for the team based on prioritised business needs.
Furthermore, you'll be given the following responsibilities.
- Reviewing and enhancing data feeds to ensure high quality inputs for analytical research and fund management processes.
- Collaborating with central IT and data teams to ensure consistency with overall LGIM approach
- Designing and documenting ongoing support model
- Maintaining existing tools and data feeds that input into the wider investment process
- Proven proficiency in Python, Excel/VBA, and SQL
- Ability to undertake complex coding projects to enhance the multi-asset toolkit
- High quality and accuracy in programming design and output
- Diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- An understanding of the end outputs and their use within the investment management process
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables: balancing pragmatism with a need for robustness
- Communication of complex analysis and issues to the broader team
- Working with peers and more senior colleagues in a proactive, collaborative manner

- Understanding of major asset classes and derivatives
