We have a fantastic opportunity for an Operations Analyst to join the Operations Team within our Financial Reporting Centre (FRC). Whilst this role does fall within our Actuarial Department this role does not require any Actuarial experience.

As an Ops Analyst you will perform various tasks and processes that enable an effective and efficient financial reporting service to the FRC.

  • Producing suitable, fit-for-purpose model points and data/figures/reconciliations for use by the Financial Reporting Teams.
  • Liaising with technical support to report errors and suggest potential solutions to issues with processes or deliverables.
  • Assisting with process development by carrying out thorough testing of new releases from the Modelling Solutions team and integrating the final changes into Actuarial Operations.
  • Providing support/advice to various Business Units within Legal & General by developing a detailed understanding of the impact that changes have on complex processes and helping to prevent potential errors.
  • Creating and maintaining detailed documentation on Production Centre processes ensuring that best practise is documented and assisting with the cross training of processes.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of Actuarial Operations processes and identify opportunities where processes from the Business Units can be carried out best within Actuarial Operations.
  • Reviewing output before it is passed to customers to ensure all data and information produced is accurate and meets the customers' requirements.
  • Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills are essential
  • The ability to identify improvements within processes/process flows
  • A critical thinker with the ability to solve complex problems through using their own initiative
  • A good communicator with the ability to influence others through evidencing of observations and recommendations
  • Experience within financial services operations/reporting would be highly beneficial
  • Knowledge of insurance products and/or use of Prophet would be highly beneficial
  • Ownership of your own personal development and supporting your colleagues in their personal development to maximise the quality of the service we offer to our customers.

When you commit to Legal & General, we’ll commit to you too. That means we’ll recognise and reward your hard work, your performance and your contribution.

If you join us, you’ll get access to some great benefits, including private medical insurance, at least 25 days holiday (excluding bank holidays), a generous pension scheme, life assurance, and Income Protection. You can participate in our electric car scheme, which offers employees the option to hire a brand new electric car through tax efficient salary sacrifice. We’re also proud to offer competitive family leave.

You’ll have the opportunity to participate in our annual, performance-related bonus plan and valuable share schemes. And then there are the many discounts we offer that you can take advantage of – both for our own products and at a range of high street stores and online offerings.
