The primary function of the Fund Accounting team is to provide accounting and asset data to support LGIM’s operations activities and support the L&G Group reporting process.

In this role you'll work in the Fund Accounting Team responsible for controlling and maintaining the accounting records of various Investment Funds covering the Equity, Fixed Income and Derivatives markets.

  • To assist with the implementation of new IFRS accounting standards, such as IFRS 9
  • To support the implementation and first deliveries to the L&G Group reporting team using the new Onesteam group reporting system
  • To participate in the year end reporting process by completing Group consolidations, preparing collateral disclosures, and undertaking any other deliverables assigned
  • To participate in the year end audit process by providing audit evidence and liaising directly with the auditors to resolve all queries and issues.  To include supporting the custodian reconciliation process.
  • Support ado change projects & client initiatives for the fund accounting team
  • Review and enhance team processes to support the drive to modernise the wider Fund Accounting team
  • To carry out any other task as deemed necessary by your Line Manager.
  • Good Experience in an Investment Accounting environment, with good fundamental knowledge of different asset classes and their accounting treatment.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of reporting under IFRS accounting standards
  • Previous consolidation experience is an advantage
  • Proven track record of working with large excel spread sheets and data sets
  • Accounting qualification preferred (not essential)
  • Good communication
