We are recruiting a Senior Transformation Finance Business Partner to join our growing team. 

The Senior Finance Business partner plays a key role in all aspects of financial management. The role seeks to maximise the profitability and efficiency of the function by advising on commercial opportunities, strategic initiatives and through robust cost management.

  • Developing a deep understanding of the relevant project business case to ensure the project delivers planned commercial benefits by working closely with the SMEs and internal and external stakeholders, supporting and challenging where appropriate.
  • Develop a robust benefit tracking model and provide regular, concise reporting on commercial status of the programme by working closely with the various stakeholders and holding them to account on the costs and benefits. Using your analytical and reporting skills you’ll be required to identify any emerging risks or opportunities and escalate appropriately, and work closely with the wider programme management team to help mitigate any risks.
  • Collaborate with workstream leads to understand all commercial impacts of the programme. You must be a proactive and a self-starter, working with a wide range of leads to gather and report on the Project and its financial milestones to ensure that costs and benefits are clearly understood and monitored so that the overall budgets are not exceeded, and benefits are tracked. Any deviations to the business case should be quickly highlighted so that corrective actions can be implemented.
  • Work to understand the commercial impacts of various business scenarios and own the modelling of the outcomes
  • Identify weaknesses and areas for improvement in current process, and work with the wider team to implement improvements and efficiencies.
  • Work closely with the Group Finance and Group Performance team to model the impacts of the programme and to ensure these are appropriately captured in financial plans to ensure that all financial reporting is accurate, up to date, easily explained and in line with Business expectations.
  • Become the in-house subject matter expert on the programme and own the transition from project into BAU to ensure that costs and benefits are understood end to end and there are no surprises.
  • Highly numerate with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to identify financial risks and issues and implement process improvements
  • Experience working on complex change programs
  • Technology experience, with infrastructure and cloud experience preferable.
  • Strong financial modelling skills
  • Ability to step back from detail to drive strategic perspective
  • Excellent project management skills including Strong influencing skills, ability to build relationships and deliver robust challenge at all levels of the business and the ability to develop 'subject matter expert' status across multiple business units
  • High degree of personal initiative and ability to work well as part of a team
  • Ability to adapt rapidly to meet changing priorities/deadlines
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex messages to internal/external audiences at all levels
  • Ability to present and communicate finances in a meaningful and insightful manner, using data visualisation techniques when useful.
  • Experience working within a Technology & Business Management Office (TBMO) using Apptio and Cloudability preferable
