As part of a dynamic and successful team, ensuring all funds are managed according to client, regulatory and internal risk management guidelines. Investigative work required to be carried out accurately and results delivered in a timely manner to stakeholders; these stakeholders include front office Investments teams (fund managers); Compliance functions and Product Management. The role also requires the candidate to support business growth, by assisting with the onboarding of new funds and restructures/amendments to the existing book.
- Timely review of all potential breaches, through accurate understanding and interpretation of the output versus the corresponding fund specific and regulatory guidelines within the portfolio monitoring platform.
- Timely escalation and resolution of confirmed guideline breaches within the portfolio monitoring platform.
- You'll provide effective communication and escalation (where required) with wider team.
- Supporting fund launches/restructures/amendments, through effective engagement with Product Management/ Client Implementation teams and Internal Coding team.
- Forming and maintaining effective working relationships with GMC team members, Investment desks, Client Directors, and the wider business.
- You'll maintain an open and effective dialogue with fund managers and implementation teams in relation to monitoring issues, reporting and client changes.
- Relevant monitoring experience in a guideline monitoring team within an Asset Management firm or to have an understanding of the guideline monitoring process.
- An understanding of the investment process.
- Effective understanding of markets and products.
- Intermediate to advance Excel knowledge.
- Good interpersonal skills - including verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective adherence to processes and procedures.
- Determined, self-motivated and resourceful to achieve objectives.
- Ability to absorb, interpret, apply, and communicate information effectively.
- Problem solving ability.
