Would you like to join a market leading business that provides a positive solution to the UK’s housing shortage?

We are Legal and General's Suburban Build to Rent. Our purpose is to develop quality suburban rental homes and provide stability for people looking for a long-term tenancy. We aim to become the pioneer of higher market standards by putting residents at the heart of everything we do, delivering excellent customer service and developing sustainable communities.

As we open our first sites, and continue to acquire more, the business is ready to take its operations to the next level. This is a fantastic opportunity to join as a Mobilisation Manager, in a brand-new role that will have a huge impact on our operations.

In this exciting and varied role, you will work closely with the Operations Director to plan for and complete the successful release of residential units to the market, including all aspects of set up, handover from housebuilders and handover to our appointed letting and management agents. You'll also have the chance to work across the business, engaging with the Investment and Development teams to appraise investment opportunities, support with development monitoring, build a complete record of property details, work through all set up requirements and direct release schedules.

This is a unique opportunity to work in a start-up business, with the security and support of the Legal and General umbrella. The building blocks are being built, and this is a role where you can have an immediate impact by shaping processes, building relationships, and ensuring a world class customer service.

  • Set and control the mobilisation trackers for new assets, co-ordinating all set up requirements, managing budgets and liaising with relevant third parties and internal team members.
  • Assisting the Investment and Development teams with appraisal of potential schemes, providing feedback on specification, management considerations and set up and running cost budgets.
  • Monitor information and document handover requirements from housebuilders and developers, working closely with appointed Employers Agents and Clerk of Works.
  • Working with other key team members to set unit release schedules in line with PC dates, completion of the wider development and market optimisation. The role holder will deliver units to market, ready for occupation in line with optimised release schedules, keeping to budgets and achieving lease up targets.
  • Co-ordinating marketing strategy roll out, setting up show homes, onsite marketing collateral and resident welcome packs.
  • Arranging any post completion unit specification enhancements, organising install through supply chain partners.
  • Ensuring relevant utility and telecoms contracts, council tax accounts and insurances are activated.
  • Leading procurement for key supplier partners and setting up contracts where required for maintaining H&S prior to handover to managing agents.
  • Being part of a working group to shape the configuration and functionality of an investment monitoring and asset management database system.

  • Strong knowledge of residential lettings and management processes and compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of the BtR sector, the standards and customer expectations within the sector and what is required to be market leading.
  • Awareness of the competitor landscape for suburban BtR, existing and future.
  • Experience in setting up large property portfolios or buildings, either new or operational.
  • Track record of developing effective working relationships and managing third party service providers.
  • Experienced in working to strict budgets, monitoring spend and forecasting actual to budget performance.

Whatever your role, we reward ability, performance and attitude with a package that looks after all the things that are important to you. Our employees have a wide range of benefits including a generous pension scheme, life assurance, 25 days’ holiday, private medical insurance, discretionary performance related bonuses, paid overtime, a variety of share schemes, discounts at both a huge range of high street stores and our own great products. Your hard work will be rewarded when you join us.
