To support the Executive Assistant & Operations Manager in the training and development of our Valuers, Surveyors and Administrators. You’ll be helping to fulfil the vision of becoming the long-term Surveying partner of choice for all our Customer and Clients by having involvement in the organisation, implementation, and delivery of all training requirements, utilising L&G internal and external specialist resources. Research will be required to establish best industry practice, adherence to budgets, provide operational planning, project support, and audit internal and external activity.

  • Working autonomously but, in liaison and co-ordination with internal and external specialist resources, to organise development of internal and new recruited colleagues, providing a focus on delivery of exceptional customer service or fee generation valuation services.
  • Responsible for providing advice, guidance and the overall development and training programmes, as sponsored by the LGSS Executive and Board, ensuring the service is provided within budget and remains fit for purpose and represents best practice.
  • Create and deliver engaging, innovative and informing learning & development solutions to ensure competency is achieved across LGR.
  • To research, develop, implement, and maintain the LGSS colleagues training matrix, which ensures LGSS meets regulatory requirements and that all colleagues are trained to deliver the strategic goals of L&G Retail. Make recommendations to the LGSS Executive on additional training programmes to improve customer centric service delivery.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a strategy to ensure that the needs of the customers are met and are in line with Legal & General’s Customer Experience and Treating Customers Fairly Policy.
  • Take ownership and responsibility for your own personal development, ensuring your knowledge of business processes, learning & development techniques and customer service is always at a high level. Identifying solutions or ways to improve as required 
  • Qualifications: - Any relevant training experiences
  • Industry / Regulatory:  Good knowledge of the Surveying industry and relevant regulatory frameworks.  Must have a willingness to maintain knowledge through personal development opportunities
  • Organisational awareness: Understand structure and culture of Legal & General and Legal & General Surveying Services, and be able communicate this message consistently and effectively to aid other’s understanding
  • Products: Maintain good understanding of current Surveying Services products
  • Systems: Good knowledge of systems, procedures and contingencies across all Surveying Services business areas
  • Microsoft Office: Understand how to use PowerPoint, Word and Excel to their full potential to aid training coordinating.
  • Communication: Proven ability to communicate effectively, through any medium
  • Ownership: Proven ability to own business problems and resolve issues quickly in a way that protects the business and impacts positively on the customer journey
  • Decision making: Proven ability to confidently make decisions based on evaluations of risks and using available information in a timely manner
  • Time management: Proven ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines and changing priorities whilst maintaining the highest standards
  • Proven working with MD and Executive teams 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Training planning and coordination
