The Head of Liquidity Analytics assists the Group Head of Liquidity with liquidity management across Legal & General Group while maintaining liquidity within risk appetite. The role is also responsible for manging and developing the group’s stress and scenario capability for Liquidity to meet both regulatory and internal Group requirements.

  • Drive and develop the Framework and models to stress the liquidity and collateral across the Group to ensure the Group meets regulatory requirements as well as Group risk appetite. Work with second line and Group ALM to develop actions to mitigate impact of Liquidity stress and scenario testing.
  • Monitor and measure collateral requirements across the Group including being accountable and responsible for the in-house Derivative Stress testing system. Take ownership for the Group Framework for use of Derivatives and Group Framework for Derivatives documentation. Set strategy on the optimal structure of CSAs across the Group in line with company requirements.
  • Providing subject matter expertise and recommendations to support in the optimisation of the amount of liquidity and collateral across the Group and Business Units to improve performance and inform strategy.
  • Responsible for producing quality, accurate and timely of MI and reports. Present these reports to Senior Management – Group/Senior Stakeholders for them to make decisions and to improve control and performance.
  • Maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the group to develop understanding, identify opportunities and emerging risks.
  • Ensure that the appropriate MI, processes and systems are in place to provide support Group Treasury to meet it’s regulatory obligations and also so that customers are treated fairly in line with Legal & General’s Customer Experience and TCF policy.
  • Degree qualified or equivalent experience
  • A relevant post graduate qualification in a relevant field is preferable e.g qualified actuary or CFA
  • Detailed knowledge and experience of financial modelling is required; it would be advantageous if the individuals have some knowledge of liquidity and collateral management.
  • Knowledge of money market, foreign exchange and derivatives.
  • Experience in a Treasury or very closely related Actuarial/Finance/Risk/Fund Management role.
  • Sound commercial acumen.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
