We are recruiting a Finance Analyst to join our growing team.

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing financial information for the planning, forecasting and management information processes across the commercial property and clean energy teams. The role will also involve working across business areas and the organisation to deliver a smooth and joined up approach that is well controlled, timely and of a high quality.

  • Support the Commercial Property and Clean Energy teams in constructing and maintaining models, updating for monthly/quarterly assumptions, with purpose and direction to support wider decision making around commercial property and clean energy.
  • Take ownership to produce information that forms part of the bi-annual valuation reviews and sensitivity analysis, through liaising with internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide decision support on investment strategies for assets, identification of drivers for business generation and business profitability, and resource allocation (for example, assist Direct Investments team with Investment Committee and Case Review papers).
  • Support the Financial Investment Manager and the Direct Investment team in the 5-year planning process. This will involve a combination of qualitative and quantitative output, through liaising between finance and investment functions, and including modelling outputs to enable scenario planning.
  • Take ownership of modelling the financials for the 5-year plan across the Commercial Property and Clean Energy teams to ensure robust control and understanding of the assumptions inherent in the modelling.
  • Prepare the monthly FC pack including producing data tables and updating commentary
  • Update reports such as financial commentary in Group Performance pack.
  • Work with the Financial Reporting and planning teams to ensure actuals are correctly recorded in our accounting systems.
  • WD1 submissions to Group for monthly financial reporting on AUM and P&L
  • Support the central Finance team in the annual production of LGC’s 5-year plan in line with Group timetables together with LGC’s CFO and Finance Director.

 

  • A strong Finance background, with previous Financial Planning & Analysis experience

  • Strong Excel and presentational skills alongside a solid financial analysis grounding in order to assist senior finance and investment staff in assessing and reporting the division’s performance and medium-term value creation plans with reference to its liquidity requirements and PBT generation.

  • Accounting studies, preferably ACA/ACCA qualified or progressing towards qualification

  • Demonstrable commercial acumen and interest in investment culture
  • Strong excel skills and financial modelling experience
  • Basic Microsoft Word and PowerPoint skills
  • 0 – 6 months PQE ideally with experience in real estate and infrastructure
  • 2.1 degree or equivalent qualification in finance related area
  • Experience of working to tight reporting deadlines, ideally in large corporate teams
