.We are looking for a Test Analyst to join our team! In this role you will be carrying out Business Testing processes, which are consistent with Legal & General Test Policy and Strategy. Working with the Test Manager to ensure that efficient testing is delivered to the agreed quality standards

  • Delivering Business Testing for projects/portfolios to agreed time/budget/quality tolerances as laid down in business case, test strategies and commercial agreement with IT service providers.
  • Conducting test reviews (including Static testing) throughout the development lifecycle, to identify any artefacts that are not fit for purpose.
  • Complying with the agreed test methodology and standards to ensure good governance and record keeping in line with Legal & General test principles and commercial interests.
  • Providing input into defining the appropriate test approach in collaboration with the Test Manager to ensure effective Business Test preparation and execution is produced, which mitigates business risk.
  • Owning the creation of the Business Test Analysis deliverables throughout the whole project lifecycle applying best practice testing principles to ensure cost effective testing whilst balancing business risk.
  • Providing the adequate level of Business Test Coverage in collaboration with the Test Manager, Business Analysts and Business Users and provides input into the testing estimates.
  • Performing Test Execution, involving leading business resources where required, as agreed in the BAT Stage Test Plan and raise defects on ALM or JIRA and retesting defect fixes when deployed to the test environments.
  • Supporting the Test Manager in defining the entry criteria to BAT and make recommendations at exit from BAT. 
  • You'll have ISTQB Advanced Test Analyst certification or equivalent experience
  • A full understanding of a variety of test analysis techniques and their implementation
  • You should have good knowledge of BDD, TDD, and automation tool sets and different test process and methodologies
  • A full understanding of the creation and execution of test scripts
  • Have experienced in using JIRA, and ideally also XRay plugin
  • A good understanding of the different drivers and needs of customers, distributors and partners
  • A detailed Knowledge and understanding of systems and structures within Business Units
  • A good Understanding of L&G wide systems, structures and dependencies
  • Have experience in at least 2 test methodologies (for example Waterfall, Agile, SAFe, Extreme) across multiple projects
  • Have experience in using a test tool to control scripting and execution of tests
  • Have experience in use of defect management tool
  • Have experience in use of a number of industry recognized test analysis techniques
  • Have experience in Financial Services Industry required, Pensions an advantage
  • An understanding of test scheduling and working with business teams in implementing the execution for those schedules.
