The Technical Project Manager role has a broad remit covering all areas of infrastructure and development supporting Legal & General Investment Management's application portfolio for various business areas.

Infrastructure influenced projects will often be part of overall Maintenance related programmes that will interact with other Application and Development Support teams to address Technical Debt, Currency and Security Improvements along with Enhancements.

As the Technical Project Manager, you will manage the infrastructure requirements enabling these projects to be implemented. You will be a senior resource within a Technical Operations Project team requiring vendor and third party engagement in addition to stakeholder management and communications.

You will liaise not only with business managers and stakeholders to ensure the service  provided is fit for purpose, but also with the  finance department and project managers to ensure that project expenditure and forecast spend are fully aligned.

  • Delivering project work (both strategic and tactical) in compliance with relevant technical architectures, ensuring that projects are successfully delivered in line with the agreed solutions
  • Working with all necessary IT and Business staff to establish clear cut project plans and migration paths based on business requirements, IT strategies and benefit realisations
  • Using a variety of Project Management methodologies to improve project delivery capability 
  • Collaborating with other teams to establish an appropriate approach to projects
  • Delivering SAAS and PAAS hosted solutions 
  • Delivering software development lifecycle projects and the ongoing operation of production environments 
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience working within a Financial Services IT environment delivering multiple projects simultaneously
  • Previous experience working with outsource providers
  • You will have strong attention to detail, with the ability to influence change as well as good verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Any knowledge or exposure to Agile or Scrum environments would be beneficial
  • You will have exposure to the Full project lifecycle and be experience with working with outsourced providers
  • Delivering projects utilizing public cloud provided services i.e. AWS, Azure
