We have a fantastic opportunity here at Legal & General to join as a Data and Insights Manager. You will be supporting the Intermediary channel by defining and leading the data and insight strategy.

You will also be responsible for supporting our growth targets, product development, partner experience improvement and propositional change.

  • Managing sales analysis and insight production to ensure that intermediary (Sales, Profit and Service) opportunities are identified to meet business targets and support the sales channel to shape, define and implement a strategy that forms the basis of trading priorities for the channel.
  • Leading for the Intermediary team on all LGI MI projects to drive continuous business improvements, ensuring they are carried out on time, with a high degree of accuracy and in accordance with project requirements and ensure benefit realisation can be measured.
  • Representing the channel and work with key internal and external stakeholders on strategic insight projects, defining project goals and design, support in testing architectures and manage the communications across our channel and wider business areas to meet our objectives.
  • Ensuring all Intermediary transactional MI data is accurate and fit for purpose. Manage, structure and embed production of external market data sources (e.g. Portal data) to ensure LGI have an accurate view of the Protection market to establish our share by Partner and Product, enabling channel plan refinement to target Intermediary sales/product specific opportunities.
  • Ensuring that all customers/stakeholders are treated fairly in line with Legal & General’s principles on Customer Experience, Everyday Matters, Our Strategy, Employee Engagement, Continuous Improvement and TCF policy.
  • Representing the intermediary channel in additional data/insight projects as required to support the wider business/group .
  • Delivering subject matter expertise to design, develop and manage ITC/MI initiatives to ensure channel priorities are clearly defined, prioritised and led to delivery and build effective benefit realisation measures .
  • Maintaining a high level of awareness of Data/Insight developments in the wider market to raise our expertise and enhance our current MI capabilities
  • Have experience of Power BI Experience of SQL (crafting SQL queries to extract data from source using SQL fundamentals).

  • Analytical skills Knowledge on the Power BI Cloud Service is desirable

  • Database management related qualification (Microsoft, Oracle, DB2 or similar) essential. Work experience as a data analyst or in a related field.

  • Someone with experience of customer relationship management.
  • Working experience of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Microsoft Power BI.
  • Preferably have experience of developing insight and reporting capability in a sales or operational environment.
  • A demonstrable eye for detail & excellent organisational skills.
  • A good team player.
