We have an incredible opportunity for an Identity & Access Manager to join us in either London, Hove or Cardiff!

This is a senior team role where you will provide a focal point for in-team escalations and oversight of activities and reporting; driving continuous improvement of Identity and Access Management (IAM) related changes to support the Joiners, Movers, Leavers (JML) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) processes. If you are detail oriented with strong interpersonal skills then this could be the ideal role for you!

We will consider applications from all over the UK however there may be an expectation to travel into one of our main offices in London, Cardiff or Hove.   We are also open to flexible working arrangements - job share etc.

  • Tracking all IAM and PAM requirements for Legal & General Retail Solutions (LGRS) user base and ensuring they are executed in line with service level agreements.
  • Owning the MI reporting process and use to proactively, and continuously, track adherence to SLAs, KPIs, volumes, trends, and champion the implementation of improvements to the process
  • Defining implementing & maintaining Group Role Based Access Control (RBAC), ensuring least privileged access
  • Working with application owners and business divisions to map business roles to IT entitlements to help ensure that the appropriate access rights are given to individuals, and providing operational guides where required to support user base
  • Managing the user account authentication and password management processes as outlined in Legal & General’s policies and standards
  • Monitoring privileged accounts on an ongoing basis and managing provisioning and de-provisioning of privileged access based on the principle that only those that require these enhanced accounts have them for a limited time period to help ensure data breaches are minimised
  • Overseeing vendors and partners responsible for providing IAM tools and services and escalating any process deficiencies and remediation actions required to the Product Manager to help ensure providers meet contractually defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) required to manage Legal & General risk
  • Reporting IAM related risk and control failures as identified during day-to-day activities and supporting the identification of remediation actions to help manage these risks in a timely and effective manner
  • Strong technical expertise in areas such as access management, identity lifecycle management, single sign-on, privileged access management, access certification etc
  • You'll have strong interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate with colleagues across all levels of seniority
  • Good organisational skills with a proven ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and utilise time effectively
  • Previous experience in leading a team, including personable skills such as understanding different work and personality types to get the best out of internal and external colleagues
  • Prior work experience in managing user access accounts, service accounts and privileged accounts is required: able to assess and implement least privilege access methodologies
  • It would be great if you have experience of working with and managing vendor IAM and PAM tools such as SailPoint Identity IQ, CyberArk, CA PAM, Imprivata, Azure MFA etc
  • Any industry certifications such as CISSP-ISSAP, CISM, CISA, would be a huge plus!

In L&G Retail Retirement (LGRR) our mission is to help as many customers as possible achieve financial security in retirement. Core, award-winning products include our pensions annuity, which offers customers a secure income that’s guaranteed for life, and our Lifetime Mortgage, which enables customers to supplement their income by releasing some of the equity locked up in their homes as tax-free cash.

Does this opportunity excite you but you’re not 100% sure if you meet all the requirements for the role? Or are you concerned that ‘normal’ office hours aren’t possible given your personal circumstances? We’re aware that candidates, especially women, can be put off from applying for a job unless they tick every box, or candidates who are parents or have other caring responsibilities may not think they can achieve the flexibility they need. If this is you, we’re keen to connect; and whilst we can’t accommodate every flexible working request, we’ll try to find a practical solution. So why not apply?
