We have a fantastic 1 year Fixed Term Contract opportunity for an experienced IT Project Manager to join Legal & General group Technology! 

You'll be joining at a period of significant positive change, particularly when it comes to Technology and innovation for workplace and property services.... In other words smart buildings are going to be the new norm!

Your role will be to manage a number of small to medium size projects, run as workstreams within a much larger program of work which involves office moves, office maintenance, room booking systems and so on, a large part of this role will be focussed on infrastructure, desktop and other End-User orientated projects. 

This would be a great opportunity for someone with a keen interest and understanding of technology, particularly infrastructure and someone with effective communication, co-ordination and matrix management skills. 

 

  • You’ll be working with the hosting providers to revise and agree their refresh plans in line with vendor’s release cycle
  • Working with the BAU IT teams to organise upgrades to the technologies
  • Managing relationships with key stakeholders across the BAU team and Programme team such as Architects, Delivery Managers and Technical teams.
  • Ensure any improvements are measured and reported back to stakeholder with highlighting on areas that need to be prioritised activity.
  • Maintain budget controls across all activities and deliveries
  • In order to succeed in this role, you will have a proven track record of managing infrastructure projects as IT Project Manager
  • Naturally you'll have strong organisation and stakeholder management skills with a structured and planned approach.
  • You will have a background working on Tech/ infrastructure projects 
  • It would be advantageous if you have have worked in a financial organisation
  • You will have a strong understanding of infrastructure and technology with a and have been to some extent technical in your role.
