As a part of the Group Technology Service Planning Team, the Technology Capacity Manager will be responsible for Capacity planning and Management of all Group Technology owned services.  The Technology Capacity Manager will maintain a capacity plan and ensure that the Head of Services Planning is aware of capacity demands and future requirements whilst ensuring optimal use and value of existing capacity.

We will consider applications from all over the UK however there may be an expectation to travel into one of our main offices in London or Hove.  We are also open to flexible working arrangements - job share etc.

  • Taking ownership of capacity planning and development for Group Technology owned services. This includes the creation and implementation of best practice capacity planning, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance
  • Assessing existing capacity and develop operational plans and forecasts based on future for demand across all business areas
  • Leading regular reviews with internal stakeholders to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for planning purposes to meet operational requirements and cost efficiencies
  • Working with our suppliers to ensure they have the information required and are meeting their contractual requirements for Capacity Management
  • Providing assurance that our suppliers are maintaining capacity requirements of the hosted services. Reviewing recommendations from suppliers in relation to installed capacity and approving the recommendations or stipulating alternative installed capacity requirements
  • Reviewing data and trends and diagnosing problems and concerns.  Actively identifying risks, ensuring they are appropriately logged and tracked at the appropriate forums, and taking appropriate action to mitigate or resolve
  • Defining, developing and delivering processes and systems to ensure a consistent and good level of service that means customers’ expectations are met

Qualifications:

  • ITIL v3 / v4 Certified

Knowledge:

  • Significant experience in a capacity planning role preferably within a financial organisation
  • Significant experience of building capacity/forecasting models and plans and undertaking complex analysis to create information
  • Demonstrable experience of using ServiceNow
  • Have experience of working in a SIAM model
  • Deep understanding of IT Service Management processes, particularly those relating Capacity and Demand Management

Experience:

  • Ability to create and implement short-term and long-term plans for capacity management including remediation plans and cost efficiencies
  • Working effectively with diverse teams across multiple locations.
  • Have good verbal and written communication skills, and a good understanding of the use of different channels and formats for different audiences
