We are currently recruiting for a Senior Operational Resilience Analyst to join our dynamic team.

In this role, you will help LGIM provide a consistent and reliable service to its clients and the markets that it serves, by ensuring that the Operational Resilience framework, tools and practices are implemented and embedded across LGIM.  

The primary focus is on LGIM’s Important Business Services (IBS), and ensuring that we can help the organisation to Prevent, Adapt, Respond, Recover and Learn from operational disruptions. 

Although this role is available in multiple locations, there is an expectation to be in the London office 1 day a week. 

  • Overseeing LGIM resilience controls, ensuring they are regularly reviewed, updated and tested.
  • Providing review and challenge to the IBS resilience capabilities.
  • Ensuring resilience regulatory requirements are understood and embedded thought LGIM.
  • Becoming a critical partner to the LGIM business areas in order to raise the level of resilience understanding and awareness.
  • Assisting LGIM to identify and disclose resilience relevant risks and ensure they are captured in the appropriate systems.
  • Liaising with the IT function to ensure the supporting disaster-recovery arrangements and incident management processes are effective and aligned with the overall business resilience controls.
  • Defining and running effective test / scenarios based on realistic scenarios to validate that the resilience processes, controls and documentation address the potential threats.
  • Reviewing and challenging the resilience remediation points to ensure that any gaps are sustainably closed.
  • Ensuring that business resilience is designed into any new process, IT or business change, technological enhancements or key person movement and ensure that appropriate controls and monitoring is introduced.
  • Working with the supplier management oversight team to ensure our vendors are providing a resilient and reliable service.  Undertaking due diligence to validate that working arrangements and resilience capabilities remain within our expectations.
  • Ensuring incident and crisis management activities are effective in resolving disruptions. Identifying any lessons learned and apply to on-going preparations.
  • Working with the Head of Operational Resilience in embedding resilience into LGIM through new initiatives, active stakeholder engagement, and awareness sessions for both new and existing staff.
  • Creating, updating and providing detailed reporting to working group, steering committees and governance bodies.
  • Background in Operational Resilience
  • Understanding of industry standards
  • Knowledge of risk and control frameworks and resilience risks relating to business operations, technology platforms, digital channels, third parties and cloud based services
  • Knowledge across the following resilience disciplines: Risk Management, Business continuity, Incident and Crisis management, Disaster Recovery, Technology Resilience and supplier/vendor management
  • Development, deployment and management of business-critical processes
  • Proven experience within a similar function within the asset management, banking or financial services industry
  • Exposure to 24*7 / global / highly available operations
  • Involvement in Incident management, crisis and recovery during significant events and major operational outages
  • Development and testing of large scale business recovery plans
  • Understanding of technology, suppliers and outsource vendors and their resilience governance/oversight
  • Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written formats
  • Ability to roll up sleeves and deliver a high volume of work, while maintaining attention to detail and quality
  • First class organisational and action planning skills
  • Ability to get buy-in within a division and across a Group at senior levels
  • Effective at making decisions and delivering great outcomes
  • Empathic with a high degree of emotional intelligence
