We are very excited to be recruiting a brand new role within Legal & General Investment Management's Finance Reporting Team.

You will support the extensive reporting requirements across the LGIM Division., including monthly management reporting, quarterly L&G Group reporting and all Statutory and Regulatory reporting requirements.

Further, you will be exposed to reporting and monitoring a wide range of financial data, from monthly results to liquidity and capital forecasts and various other financial metrics. 

  1. Assisting month end processes including preparing journals, performing Divisional consolidation processes and assisting in preparing month end reporting.
  2. Supporting the embedding of the new Group-wide reporting system which is being introduced in 2022 including process changes and improvements where required.  
  3. Assisting with the preparation of management reporting including the LGIM Division’s monthly ‘Entity Control Pack. This involves collation of information from numerous sources, analysing and reviewing output, liaising with members of the wider team and investigating queries raised following review of the results.
  4. Collating the data required to support to effectively monitor the liquidity position and liquidity forecast of the Division and on a solo-entity basis. Preparing liquidity reporting outputs.
  5. Assisting in the preparation of ad hoc accounting papers and policies, including papers for the Audit Committee, consideration of new accounting standards and implications of accounting changes.
  6. Responding to queries from stakeholders across the L&G Group, ensuring they are delivered in accordance with the requested specifications and deadlines.
  7. Involvement in monitoring of forward-looking financial metrics
  8. Involvement in the audit process Liaising with external auditors to ensure thorough responses are received to any questions raised during the annual audit process.
  9. Ensuring up to date documentation of processes, risks and controls.

Qualifications:

  • The applicant must have commenced their study of ACA, ACCA or CIMA

Knowledge:

  • The application of key accounting principles is key to this role. The jobholder must therefore either be working towards an appropriate accountancy qualification or have significant on-the-job experience within a Finance environment.

Experience:

  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and good knowledge of PowerPoint and Word is required for this role. The role holder will be expected to develop knowledge of SUN, Vision.
  • This role requires the jobholder to interact with stakeholders across LGIM and the wider L&G Group. The jobholder should therefore have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The jobholder should show a willingness to openly share views and findings with other team members and a desire to take an active role in team meetings and discussions with management.
  • Particularly during the busy month-end period, the jobholder will be required to manage a variety of different deliverables concurrently. The ability to cope with periods of high pressure is therefore a key skill for this role.
  • The jobholder should be able to work independently to develop and enhance processes and to identify, investigate and resolve issues.
  • Strong numeracy skills are a key requirement of this role, and the role holder should be comfortable with key financial concepts and able to accurately handle volumes of financial data, manipulate the data for use in other financial or operational processes.
