We are currently looking for a Scrum Master to join Legal & General Group Digital. You will be responsible for helping people understand the theory, principles, practices, rules and values of Scrum, as a member of a highly effective product-based team.  You will be instrumental in helping the team and it’s environment to organise, collaborate and improve, to maximise the value delivered to our customers.

  • Ensuring that goals, scope and product domain are well understood by the team, using effective techniques for product backlog management to help the team understand the need for clear and concise product backlog items
  • Coaching the team in self-organisation and cross-functionality, helping them to create high-value and high-quality products
  • Leading and coaching the group in its adoption of Scrum by helping people understand Scrum and product development
  • Working with other Scrum Masters to identify improvements and cause change that helps team improve in productivity of value delivery
  • Managing the Scrum framework and facilitating Scrum events
  • Providing transparency and visibility by tracking and reporting team-level delivery metrics
  • Driving the adoption of engineering practices such as test-driven development, pair-programming and continuous delivery to improve quality and reliability of the team’s outputs and outcomes
  • It is key for this role that you have lots of experience as a Scrum Master in a development environment; applying Scrum, Kanban and XP engineering practices
  • You have lots of knowledge of applying agile values, principles and practices
  • Experience of teaching, mentoring and coaching highly effective and efficient teams
  • An understanding of general software engineering good practices
  • You’re confident challenging interactions and influencing decisions, change and priorities through data-driven evidence
  • It would be great if you have experience and understanding of the Cloud industry, specifically AWS
