You wil act as the main contact and support the business in the coordination and management of the Finance and Actuarial study and rotations schemes and programmes. The role holder will provid support and input to drive change and ensure the schemes are run efficiently.

Although the location states London we are open to candidates from around the UK. But please note there will be expectation to occasionally travel to the London office.

  • Acting as the liaison point for all Working Groups on the Actuarial and Finance Development Committee (AFDC) and be the point of contact between students, Senior Managers, line managers Actuarial and development committee, resourcing, HRBP’s, Reward, First Call, Unite, legal, policy, people development and the wider business. 
  • Coordinating, actioning and reviewing any changes to the scheme and set clear expectations for student line managers through Workshops. This includes oversight of requisite document completion and reviewing progress with line managers and preparing key communications. This is ensuring changes are in line with business and student needs.
  • Responsible for managing the L&G training accreditation with the professional bodies by carrying out annual audit reviews and bi annual refresher sessions. Relationship manager with Institutes, BPP and other external providers that effect the study schemes and audit. This is to ensure we stay compliant to offer Continuing Professional Development (CPD)to our qualified accountants as well as our students
  • Facilitating exams and rotations Working Groups and recruitment working group to ensure rotations are set up for the students, and new hires have the correct induction plan for their qualification, such as induction to accounting/actuarial institute, apprenticeship induction, meeting exam managers, understanding the study policy, access to mentor me, and introducing to the main points of contact. 
  • Preparing and monitoring the programmes budget, liaising with Senior stakeholders, to ensure that expenditure is in line with the business plan, ensuring rates are comparable and fair.
  • Acting as the first point of contact and subject matter expert to all Manager and Students throughout the programme to ensure that expected, acceptable standards are achieved. This includes managing business conflict with the 20% off the job training to ensure student can complete their apprenticeship and we meet regulatory requirements.
  • Designing and implementing any policies or processes, giving sufficient emphasis that the fair treatment of customers and employees is central to our corporate culture.
  • Managing apprentice programme delivery - Running monthly reporting calls with providers, updating the database with past and current apprentices, partnering with the busines to manage any rotations and assigning mentors/buddies, hosting insight sessions for hiring managers and apprentices, running any central learning/development, fielding any questions for HR/L&D colleagues and line managers.

 

  • HR or Finance related background would be beneficial
  • Understanding of apprenticeships and graduate schemes desirable
  • Stakeholder management experience essential
  • Communication and influencing skills

  • Management of apprenticeship or graduate programmes would be beneficial
