The Head of Leadership Development will play a critical role in driving and implementing leadership programmes and initiatives that ensure an inclusive and diverse culture across the organisation, aligned with strategic business goals and talent plans. Driving the delivery of a hybrid model for learning and development, making clear connections to business strategy and creating new and innovative interventions that create a step change in the organisations leadership capability that is fit for now and the future.

  • Understand business drivers and outcomes, use these to inform our approach to leadership development and drive an L&G wide strategy to Leadership development across the divisions
  • Work with HR and business leaders to identify leadership development needs and recommend solutions.  Coach leaders and their teams, and in partnership with divisional HRBPs, act as their consultant regarding learning and development activities
  • Design and deliver a Leadership framework and course curriculum aligned to our values and 3A leadership principles, ensuring all leadership development interventions and programmes are addressing business needs and co-created in partnership with the divisions
  • Lead on the delivery of our coaching interventions in support of the evolution of our approach to Performance Management.
  • Measure engagement and usage of solutions to understand correlation and causality of change/business impact.  Build measurement and analysis of usage and business outcomes into solutions to clearly demonstrate impact and return on investment.
  • Develop and drive an L&G wide approach to leadership assessment that aligns to our Talent agenda and Inclusion ambitions.
  • Think and act commercially to enable the delivery of leadership development activities in the most efficient way, contributing directly to growing the business through and with our people. 
  • Bring outside experiences, insights and research into the work, thinking ‘beyond learning’ and leading multidisciplinary teams on projects by combining diverse perspectives to drive the best outcomes.

 

  • Evidence of leading teams to deliver creative problem solving across the leadership and learning agendas.
  • Evidence of user-led experience design work that embeds and sustains behaviour change.
  • Managing budgets to deliver learning and development programmes.
  • Knowledge of blended/hybrid learning delivery methods, tools, formats and platforms, and the ability to look for new solutions that challenge the status quo when needed.
  • Awareness of best practice approaches within the learning profession and a desire to explore these in support of leadership  development innovation.
  • Coaching and leading globally dispersed, diverse and virtual teams.
  • Understanding of and ability to translate and set strategy.
  • Ability and willingness to understand and question regulatory or process-based challenges we might face
