The successful candidate will work within the existing 10 strong Build To Rent (BTR)  team and have the benefit of working in a challenging and rewarding role on two of Real Assets rapidly growing BTR mandates.

The position is for a self-motivated and proactive Assistant Fund Manager who will provide significant support to the Senior Fund Manager on the day to day management of the portfolios.

  • Assist in the design and implementation of BTR investment strategy
  • Contributing to and managing the valuation process.
  • Promote the strategy and assisting in client and consultant pitches and presentations.
  • Work closely with the development and transactions team to support investment underwriting and guide acquisitions to meet fund strategy.
  • Work with the LGP Research team to establish a research framework to identify and communicate long term fund strategy.
  • Ensure an excellent working relationship with LGR, fully understanding their drivers of their investment analysis and decision making.
  • Identify business growth opportunities.
  • Research, analysis, credit, modelling and due diligence around acquisition, and managing the process as required.
  • Actively drive ESG initiatives and assist in the Fund reporting both internally and externally.
  • Assisting in the preparation and presentation of the Annual Fund Strategy.
  • To develop and maintain good contacts with key advisors, clients, landlords and tenants.
  • Contribute to and successfully influence policy makers at regional and national level.
  • Excellent academic background, with a numerical aptitude, strong A levels and a degree (which may be non-cognate)
  • MRICS preferred
  • Significant post qualified experience, ideally in the residential sector and with some experience of fund management.
  • Experience from any of the ‘beds’ sectors would be an advantage.
  • Potential to drive projects designed to expand and grow our range of products in the broader residential space
  • High investment acumen and an energetic approach.
  • Experience of managing transactions, particularly acquisitions
  • An innovative approach to identifying and implementing ways of releasing value from existing assets.
  • A team player demonstrating high levels of dynamism, drive and commitment.
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Strong marketing and presentational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • IT literate with a good working knowledge of Real Estate software and Excel.
