We have a brilliant opportunity for an experienced talent acquisition professional with strong stakeholder management skills to join us here at Legal & General.

Partnering with Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM), the Talent Acquisition Partner will deliver a total workforce solution for all hiring, with the exception of executive appointments.

This will involve building effective stakeholder relationships with Executive Leadership teams and senior HR colleagues to develop a deep understanding of their current and the future workforce demand and build detailed resourcing plans and strategies to meet that demand. The role will also manage a specialist sourcing hub (or hubs), leading, coaching and developing a small team whose role is to actively seek out and attract future talent for that particular specialism(s) to work for Legal & General.

  1. Building effective partnerships with the specified business area to develop and influence the business area’s Strategic Workforce Plans, and build detailed Resourcing Plans and Strategies to meet current and future hiring demand for both contingent and permanent hiring (excluding executive roles)
  2. Applying a standardised and consistent approach to business partnering/planning meetings using in-flight roles, budgets, assumptive attrition, succession planning for critical hires, and Strategic Workforce Planning to drive the discussions
  3. Leading and coaching a team within a specialist sourcing hub(s) to consistently achieve challenging targets, and to empower the team to use the appropriate technology, tools and skills to directly source candidates and effectively select brilliant talent to work at L&G
  4. Partnering with the Managed Service Provider (MSP) on contingent hiring requirements to deliver a total workforce solution for the business
  5. Using data and management information (MI) to understand demand and drive key hiring decisions, and using performance reporting and key metrics to drive the performance of the attraction channels and the team
  6. Actively promoting Diversity & Inclusion to become part of our everyday conversations, championing the Best Team toolkit and diversity of thought, and developing diversifying attraction channels for all under-represented groups who will bring difference to the organisation
  7. Delivering a recruitment experience which ensures candidates are aware of our company values, including treating customers fairly, and are enabled to demonstrate the behaviours that support these values
  8. Managing the team in accordance with the company's policies and procedures, including the Partnership Agreement, so that the team’s business objectives are achieved consistently

Knowledge/ Experience:

  • Significant experience in a Talent Acquisition/Resourcing Business Partner role (or similar) within a complex organisational setting
  • Experience of influencing strategic workforce plans and building resourcing plans and strategies
  • Experience of developing and driving diverse attraction strategies
  • Proven leadership and coaching experience
  • Experience of creating and providing an exceptional candidate experience, with an understanding of the correlation between the candidate, employee and customer experiences
  • Experience of championing Diversity and Inclusion across all pillars of difference
  • Knowledge of how to act as a brand ambassador by actively promoting and representing a brand and telling its story through social media, networking and events
  • Up to date knowledge of UK employment law, recruitment related risks, controls and regulations

  • Brilliant leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and nurture not only the direct team, but other colleagues
  • An excellent communicator and relationship builder at senior level, with strong negotiating and influencing skills
  • Ability to present, interpret and explain information accurately, clearly and in an appropriate way
  • A proactive approach, thinking ahead to pre-empt potential problems – planning for the next 6-12 months, rather than just for the here and now
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple deliverables at any one time
  • Commercially savvy with the ability to manage multiple suppliers and ensuring Return on Investment (ROI)
