We have a brilliant opportunity for a Finance Manager to join our Group Real Estate (GRE) department. You'll play a key role in working across Group Property and Workplace functions to ensure we can demonstrate value across our estate, identify cost management opportunities across BAU/Change and support the change function in the development of investment cases.

 

  • Manage the Finance & Commercial Control function within Group Property & Workplace and ensures there is financial control and a commercial framework in place with suppliers
  • Owns the day to day relationship with Group Finance (Expenses and Cost Management Operations) on behalf of the Head of Group Property and Workplace 
  • Ensures information fed to Group Finance is accurate, presents the correct picture into the quarterly planning cycle including resource cost forecast across the Group Property cost centres
  • Provides resource into Workplace Change function to support development of investment cases and cost models, and interlock with Workplace Change Portfolio Management Office to ensure benefits are being tracked and reported, and appropriate cost management models are in place for each project
  • Agrees treatment strategy for fixed assets across the Group Property portfolio and champions cost management mindset amongst colleagues to reduce capital expenditure and ensure value for money across our assets
  • Develops preferred supplier list for Group Property & Workplace and implement ongoing review cycle
  • Ensure that the team is resourced with the skills and capability required to meet current and longer term business objectives 
  • To take the lead in all matters with regard to the management of employees, ensuring that management discretion is used in a consistent manner and that the area follows the Group’s policies and procedures 
  • ACCA / CIMA Qualified Accountant 
  • A good awareness of UK GAAP and an excellent understanding of the ethical framework for finance professionals
  • Understanding of cost management and asset management within the construction industry
  • Strong understanding of expense allocation methodologies and their applications in meeting business requirements
  • Strong stakeholder management skills 
  • Able to provide clear and concise reporting for corporate governance purposes
  • Experience leading within a corporate function
  • Demonstrated cost management mindset to ensure value for money
  • Leading supply chain to improve cost management across assets
  • Highly numerate and an eye for accuracy to ensure quality outputs.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to clearly draw out key messages from a large volume of data
