We are recruiting an HR Systems Administrator who will be responsible for the provision of quality service across HR and provide applications and systems maintenance, configuration and development to support HR functions and users.

This is a Fixed Term Contract opportunity for 12 months.

  • Act as a Super User for HR systems ensuring that amendments to configuration are actioned in a timely manner ensuring that system availability and functionality is optimised. Apply this knowledge to solve incidents/problems and deliver changes.
  • Support configuration changes that contribute to annual payroll and performance events such as upgrades and system enhancements, performance review, talent and objective setting including testing in pre-prod systems.
  • Understand the business processes for HR and how the applications support the processes.
  • Proactively work with HR suppliers to ensure all projects, changes and releases are planned, delivered and transitioned smoothly into the business.
  • Provide first line support to staff and managers in the use and maintenance of the HR systems.
  • Support the delivery of quarterly and annual system upgrades, identifying changes and promoting system enhancements
  • Liaise with internal and external customers for data processing when appropriate.
  • Keep update to date on system application releases, enhancements/new functionality and perform application research and share with the HR Systems Team.
  • Administor information on monthly or annual campaigns 
  • Produce ad-hoc reports as and when necessary
  • Support HR systems admin to ensure data management is secure and complies with L&G’s data storage and transmission policies.

Qualifications:

  • Awareness of current technology landscape

Knowledge:

  • Comprehensive working knowledge of HRMS databases and systems including HR, Payroll, Recruitment and Learning and Development systems. 
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure delivering to strict deadlines and manage conflicting priorities. 
  • Understanding of:
    • Analytical best practice across the HR teams
    • Deploying models / analysis to drive greater database performance
    • Data Protection Act, European data directive and application
    • L&G’s data storage policy and data transfer policy.
    • Other group data sources (HR Payroll system (ResourceLink))
  • Understanding of:
    • System configuration, process design, reporting, and troubleshooting of one or more HR systems
    • System sign-off processes in order to ensure all system implementations are compliant

Skills:

  • Proven track record in providing specialist HR systems support for a variety of HR systems within a complex organisation. 
  • Extensive SAP Success Factors administration knowledge.
  • Ability to configure, test and deploy changes to the SAP Success Factors system
  • Previous experience working with payroll systems
  • Prioritising output to effectively deliver activities in line with set deadlines
  • Proactive approach to problem solving to ensure timely and cost-effective solutions.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills especially with products such as Microsoft excel
  • Individual activities are planned and regularly reviewed with line manager and stakeholders to ensure delivery.
  • Deliver to realistic timelines set between self and line manager
  • Fact find effectively in order to fully understand needs and requirements of stakeholders
  • Ensuring all analysis aligns with internal sources to ensure quality is met.
  • Generating creative and practical solutions to work situations, always questioning and considering more efficient and effective alternatives.
  • Ability to question and challenge in a positive manner.
  • Good standard of written and verbal communication in order to:
  • Communicate and gain approval for activity.
  • Communicate activity to team and stakeholders
  • Overcome difficult issues in internal or external relationships effectively.
  • Build relationships and communicate in a clear and fluent way to appropriate audience.
  • Seeks feedback on issues and ideas
  • Able to amend style of delivery to suit the audience.

  • Will have strong analytical skills and an ability to develop & interpret data
  • Accurately test and check processes for errors that may influence system effectiveness.
  • Be accountable as part of the team for any errors/omissions or data breaches and raises these effectively within the team
