We're hiring a Business Intelligence Analyst to support our Legal and General Retail Retirement (LGRR) business.This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with large sets of data. You'll get to use your strong numerical background and data analytics experience to contribute towards the improvement of business systems, providing advice and building relationships across teams.

 

 

 

  • Understand data systems and structures within the business. Contribute towards improvements to these systems where possible and link understanding of source data to value-adding management information.
  • Continuously develop processes so that deliverables are performed in the most efficient way.
  • Satisfy ad hoc requirements from internal customers; understand the business need and deliver in a flexible and insightful manner
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with all teams within LGRR Retirement Solutions.
  • Provide advice and guidance on data to improve their knowledge and understanding.
  • Ensure timely delivery of regular reports and management information to the business; always aiming for automation and standardisation
  • Adhere to governance and best practice guidelines to ensure data, procedures, and user guides are documented and remain up to date

 

  • Degree level qualification in a technical/numerate field 
  • Experience dealing with high volumes of data
  • Experience using advanced excel spreadsheet functions: pivots, macros and lookups
  • Experience performing data manipulation and transformation to create and maintain datasets
  • Advanced knowledge of productivity software packages such as, Business Objects, MS Excel, MS Power Point
  • Knowledge of analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx beneficial but not essential
  • Knowledge of Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) and SQL useful but not essential
