You will be contributing to the delivery of the Product Governance component of the LGIM integrated global product platform, ensuring that each LGIM product delivers positively throughout its lifecycle for LGIM’s customers, as an investment proposition and both operationally and commercially and in line with regulatory standards. The role holder will have specific emphasis on the unit linked funds operated by Legal and General Assurance (Pensions Management) Limited (PMC).

  • Deliver and continue to develop LGIM’s Product Management process, thereby ensuring that each PMC product is fully managed from the completion of implementation through to the end of its lifecycle
  • Manage required product changes to bring an effective implementation of changes and closures.
  • Manage periodic assessments of the PMC fund range to ensure adherence to features identified in the product design process and the potential for fund amendments. Actively contribute to, as required, the PMC product risk, fund and thematic reviews.
  • Ensure that relevant Product Management and Product Governance processes are regularly reviewed and continue to be developed according to business need.
  • Work collaboratively and manage the creation of Product Governance-owned materials. 
  • Provide product technical support on matters such as PMC fund structure, operational considerations, regulation and tax to internal stakeholders
  • Build and manage key relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure understanding of the Product Governance function and the required support for and adherence to all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Build and maintain a focused knowledge of the regulations surrounding PMC and how they apply in practice, keeping abreast of changes and developments and being able to discuss these in an informed manner.

  • A strong track record of delivery in a product management environment
  • Good working knowledge of the asset management industry including investor types, distributional channels, the competitor landscape and a good working technical knowledge of investment products across pooled product structures (including UCITS and non-UCITS)
  • Previous experience in launching, operating, amending and closing pooled investment funds
  • Knowledge of product life cycles and the role of product management and governance within that cycle
  • Strong excel skills, including the ability to manipulate and interpret large volumes of information to identify and highlight key features and present these in a clear and concise manner
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to write compelling reports and documents, the ability to negotiate at a senior level, and to successfully chair meetings with stakeholders present
  • Strong presentation skills including the ability to articulate and convey concepts and ideas to a senior audience in a clear and compelling manner

Please note that this role is classified as a Regulated role under the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR).
