Legal & General Affordable Homes (LGAH) is recruiting for a Project & Quality Manager who will manage the delivery of a number of affordable schemes including s106 and package opportunities, from legal contracting to practical completion and snagging.

You'll report to the Deputy Head of Development (Southern Home Counties) and will work alongside the customer care team, the technical advisor, operations teams, external lawyers, sales team, EA and finance teams to manage projects within the agreed time, cost and quality constraints.

Regular travel will be required so you'll ideally have a driving license. 

  • Ensure that the approved contractual arrangements are in place for each project and that the contract arrangements are in accordance with the approvals.
  • Be able to anticipate problems and opportunities, taking the initiative to offer solutions and implement required actions to meet targets and deadlines.
  • Supported by the Team Administrator, ensure that all the relevant consultants for each project are instructed in a transparent and timely manner and ensure that the consultants is effectively managing the schemes and payment processes.
  • Be responsible for the monthly reforecasting of programmes and payments in relation to each scheme to ensure they are in accordance with the approvals.
  • Responsible for monthly project updates to finance, operations, sales and customer care, so the other teams can plan their resources in relation to the projects.
  • Effectively plan, monitor and disburse all items of expenditure in accordance with agreed contracts.
  • Project-manage schemes to ensure they are delivered in accordance with the programme, to a high quality of finish and a high level of customer satisfaction ensuring that these standards are met by all counterparties and only accepting handover of schemes that meet these standards.
  • Working with the customer service team to monitor performance and to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction are achieved at all times.
  • Working with the Operations teams, coordinating handovers to ensure that void periods are minimised and customer expectations are met.
  • Responsible for ensuring that at the handover of homes stage, all the required property information in relation to that home is validated and confirmed as correct and working with the Team Administrator, ensure that all the relevant information is loaded onto the landlord data systems.
  • You'll have a strong academic background, with a numerical aptitude and ideally have a project management qualification
  • You'll have a successful track record of the project management of residential led development schemes and a detailed understanding of contract obligations with commercial awareness and manage, monitor and control costs, build quality timescales and risk.
  • Good knowledge of both social housing and possibly the wider residential sectors, in particular an expert understanding of social housing development, housing management and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrable experience of project management affordable housing schemes generally delivered through s106
