We are hiring a Financial Crime Manager to provide support to the CCO/ MLRO in leading the LGIM financial crime risk framework and providing oversight to ensure that controls to mitigate financial crime are effective and appropriate to the risk. 

In this role, you will act as the European Financial Crime subject matter expert producing and delivering a risk-based Financial Crime oversight programme and producing high quality management information.

  • Contributing to the oversight and delivery of a comprehensive, risk-based Due Dilligence framework for clients, LGIM Europe and its branches which reflects all relevant regulatory requirements inpacting the branches in the local jurisdictions.
  • Contributing to the oversight approach to high risk customers and relationships including PEPs and Sanctions. 
  • Overseeing and managing the annual financial crime risk assessment for European branches and LGIM Europe.
  • Implementing the financial crime framework in conjuction with LGIM & Group Financial Crime for LGIM Europe and branches, ensuring appropriate systems and controls are in place to prevent financial crime.
  • Maintaining detailed knowledge of relevant rules and legislation, analysing developing regulation for impact on LGIM Europe and branches, working with business areas to meet any new regulatory requirements, in development of LGIM (H) policy and procedure for financial crime control including AML, fraud, bribery & corruption, and Market Abuse.
  • Developing and overseeing LGIM Europe's approach to overseas financial crime risks, including clients and other LGIM (H) entities working colaboratively with teams in those locations to mitigate risk of fraud, money laundering, and bribery & corruption.
  • Developing financial crime awareness and training across the European branches through various modes, ensuring that staff remains fully informed of industry and regulatory developments and threats.
  • Producing clear and to-the-point management information for the MLRO, committees and team meetings. 
  • Over 5 years experience in financial crime prevention and detection
  • Deep knowledge of Irish, EU & Global fraud and money laundering legislation
  • Knowledge of investigation principles and practice in order to provide authoritative guidance to investigators.
  • Understanding and experience of Irish criminal law and its application to financial crime
  • Understanding of Irish/ EU regulatory framework
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Sufficient commercial perspective and overall   knowledge of business sectors in which LGIM Europe operates
