An opportunity to work as a Performance Analyst within the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS) Team of Legal and General Investment Management’s Performance Department has opened up.

The role will require lots of interaction with the front office and therefore we're looking for someone who is confident, articulate and with strong technical knowledge.

This is a great opportunity to learn and gain experience in the following areas:

  • Experience using cutting edge investment performance systems such as StatPro Composite and B-One.
  • Experience of multi-asset, equity (index and active), and fixed income performance analysis.
  • Build knowledge in investment management and all of LGIM’s products.
  • Build knowledge in GIPS & GIPS-Fiduciary standards and management.
  • Support provided for the IMC/ESC qualifications.
  • To use StatPro Composite, B-One and other in-house performance systems to calculate performance, attribution and an assigned set of GIPS composites. 
  • To calculate, monitor and publish all GIPS composites in line with the GIPS 2020 standards.
  • Work with the wider team to ensure the annual GIPS Verification process is completed successfully and within the required timeline.
  • Ensure external marketing material is in line with the standards and the GIPS Advertising Guidelines.
  • Continually seek to understand and satisfy our client’s requirements. Develop procedures, processes and systems to support these requirements.
  • To assist with any new projects to improve efficiency and raise the profile of the Performance team.
  • To maintain threshold competency status in line with regulatory guidelines as required. 
  • To enhance current reporting process by using various coding languages Excel/VBA/SQL/Python (desirable).
  • Ideally 2 years’ experience in a Performance Analyst role.
  • Knowledge of calculations and usage of return based statistics.
  • Enthusiastic and proactive approach.
  • Able to manage own workload and deal with tight deadlines.
  • Experience with VBA/SQL.

Please tell us if you have any of the following:

  • GIPS Knowledge / Experience.
  • Investment related qualification (IMC, CFA, CIPM etc).
  • Experience with Python
  • Experience of using StatPro Composite and/or any other similar GIPS Composite systems.
  • Experience of multi-asset, equity (index and active), and fixed income performance analysis.
