Fantastic opportunity for a Graduate Compliance Analyst to join our team here in London.  Working as part of the Compliance Surveillance team, you’ll provide high quality compliance surveillance support to the business. We’ll look to you to utilise data analytics to visualize business scenarios, undertake surveillance tasks and develop the data infrastructure for the continuous Market Abuse testing programme.   • Contributing to the maintenance and delivery of the Compliance Surveillance automation programme, maintaining efficient and effective data architecture.
  • Actively assisting with the development of the Compliance Surveillance Programme by systematically reducing false positives, incorporating new data sets and implementing new tests.
  • Producing clear and concise management information for various groups, committees and team meetings. 
  • Maintaining detailed knowledge of business data sources including e-communications voice and trading data.
  • Taking responsibility for allocated compliance projects, and ad-hoc tasks including thematic deep dives and test creation.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mathematics, Data Science or relevant discipline and/or benchmark entry level investment professional qualification such as Investment Management Certificate. 

Knowledge:

  • Good analytical skills and a keen interest in emerging software developments including Machine Learning, AI and Natural Language Processing.
  • Good understanding of data architecture, database creation and problem solving.
  • Strong understanding of data visualization principles and data analytics.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, VBA, SQL and Python.

Experience:

  • 0.5+ years post qualification experience in a similar capacity

Technical Ability:

  • Ability to manipulate and visualize data sets within visual analytics tool like Tableau, Power BI or R
