We are hiring a Supplier Relationship Manager to provide leadership within Group Technology Commercial, overseeing the successful delivery of IT Services group wide, specifically IT Supplier Relationships.

In addition to managing the activities of the critical Tier 1 IT relationships in a manner that is consistent with the company’s policies and procedures, you will also support the development, direction and embedding of the Group Supplier Management strategy and policies to continuously maximise commercial value for Legal & General.

  • Developing, supporting, promoting and embedding the Legal & General IT Supplier Management strategy and policies that continuously reflects industry best practice ensuring that Legal & General’s evolving strategic requirements are met

  • Ensuring contract establishment and fulfilment for in-scope suppliers are pro-actively managed and governed within a best practice commercial governance framework that minimises risks and maximises benefits for Legal & General.

  • Potential line management responsibility to be included in the future

  • Ensuring group-wide business stakeholders receive timely, appropriate and meaningful communications and MI regarding all 3rd party interests, including all in-scope engagements. Delivery of information to be managed through all media available to the team.

  • Defining, developing and delivering, processes and systems to ensure a consistent and good level of service that means internal customers’ expectations are managed and met, is consistent with what we have communicated and is aligned to L&G’s Customer Experience and Treating Customers Fairly policy.

  • Acting as a role model within team in terms of behaviours and act in a manner that is consistent with the company’s policies, procedures and behaviours, to maximise performance of GITC.

  • Leading and implementing programmes of change deemed appropriate to embed revisions to terms which will lead to successful supplier and L&G performance and ensure compliance with software licence terms and entitlements.

  • Extensive proven commercial experience gained from a supplier/vendor management, category management, or business development background
  • Exposure and a clear understanding of the Cloud landscape
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to senior management stakeholders

  • Experience of working within a specialist team delivering against demanding individual and team performance targets

  • Understanding of commercial purchasing and outsourcing processes

  • Experience of financial planning management and forecasting
