We are hiring a Change Accountant to support the delivery of Finance change relating to  IFRS17.

  • Developing Shared Service Centre (SSC) business Accounting Finance processes and controls linking to business systems and data, in line with IFRS 17 requirements
  • Developing and delivering associated reconciliation solutions across the breadth of the IFRS 17 Accounting workstream remit
  • Using best practice research and analysis techniques to exploit financial management efficiencies, business opportunities and achieve strategic goals
  • Defining requirements, specifications, conduct feasibility studies, support testing and implementation of IFRS 17 solutions
  • Assessing projects across the L&G Group to identify impacts on SSC financial accounting, and aligned processes
  • Ensuring Change activity is identified and delivered to ensure that those processes remain fully aligned and understood within the business and that performance can be monitored against targets and delivery against on-going performance measures.
  • Proactively supporting the SSC OSD Head of IFRS 17 Delivery and IFRS 17 Accounting workstream lead in identifying, prioritising and delivering key initiatives and projects which address financial issues, and using knowledge and experience to recommend solutions

 

 

  • Qualified Accountant with 5+ years experience within Financial Services (Insurance) 
  • Proficiency in the design and delivery of Accounting (Insurance) processes and controls including associated reconciliation solutions. 
  • Understanding of the IFRS 17 standard and the implications for the L&G business model
  • Exposure to Accounting operational processes and practices
  • A confident communicator 
  • The ability to use initiative and take ownership, adopting a pragmatic, hands on and proportional approach to the resolution of issues impacting delivery
