Are you an experienced Architect with a passion for cloud and change? 

As a Solution Architect within Legal & General Group function, you will define solution architecture for end to end technology solutions across project portfolios, ensuring alignment to strategy, roadmaps, enterprise architecture, policies and standards

 

  • Ensuring the solutions design, developed and delpoyed are fit for purpose and use, meet the business requirements and adhere to quality standards
  • Leading the analysis of technology solution options with associated costs, risks and conducting gap analysis and proof of concepts for new solutions as appropriate
  • Communicating clearly solution designs, key design decisions and approaches to interested parties, stakeholders, project bodies and relevant governance / assurance forms
  • Overseeing, leading and driving solution development including implementation engagement as needed
  • Applying knowledge of technology options and surveying the external market landscape for solution insights, direction and vendors
  • Assessing and selecting packed solutions in partnership with the business, IT Procurement and Managed Service Providers. This will include producing IT review documents to ensure that due diligence is performed when selecting a specific solution and operating modee
  • Collaborating across IT disciplines both within Group Finance and across the whole of Legal & General to align architecture solutions, reduce risk and deliver shareholder value
  • In order to excel in this role, you will have lead solution architecture previously across mid to large projects, working closely with development and infrastructure teams to deliver quality solutions
  • You will have lots of experience leading Cloud deployed solutions (SaaS, PaaS and IaaS) 
  • Confident working to both waterfall and agile delivery paradigms 
  • Demonstrable knowledge of design and architectural patterns, IT industry standards and IT governance
  • You're a thought leader on Solution Architecture - you thrive on painting a compelling image of the future IT capability and it's desirabilty 
  • A proven ability to build successful working relationships and networks
