Our Marketing team within Legal & General Retirement are looking for a Digital Development Manager to lead a team that design, develop and deliver an appropriate online customer experience across B2B and D2C websites that support the varying commercial needs of the business and ensure good customer outcomes. You will manage appropriate individuals/third parties and liaise with relevant teams to ensure our websites are optimised and performing against targets.

Manage appropriate individuals/third parties and liaise with relevant teams to ensure our websites are optimised and performing against targets.  

As part of your role you will:

  1. Design digital content and website plans and activities that support appropriate commercial targets for LGRR (Legal & General Retirement) within agreed budgets
  2. Work with specialists and external third parties to ensure our websites are tracked, managed and optimised appropriately and that we get value from our investments
  3. Ensure all activities undertaken adhere to our relevant policies and procedures, is within our risk ‘appetite’ and is approved according to the appropriate compliance procedures
  4. Support where relevant our project and change programme
  5. Ensure appropriate insight, MI and analytics is in place to enable effective tracking, environmental scanning and that a process of review, feedback and continual improvement is in place
  6. Recruit, manage, motivate and retain employees where relevant: ensuring they have the appropriate support and guidance they need to deliver on our plans
  7. Ensure all website activity undertaken is tracked and managed effectively and that adequate governance is in place to evidence appropriate management and ROI
  8. Work alongside colleagues to continually benchmark our activity: Proactively look for ways to improve our web estate and for broader opportunities for Legal & General

You should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Numerate with strong analytical skills. Evidence of budgetary management
  • Excellent understanding of ,  and evidence of having implemented or led, SEO and CRO programmes
  • Prior experience using Adobe Analytics, and ideally Adobe Target would be beneficial
  • Understanding and ideally experience of working with Episerver CMS
  • Good with people and able to clearly and confidently communicate and influence with key stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and builds to tight timescales- Good organisational and project management skills
  • Able to adapt to and work with change, in a fast growing division and marketing function
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong written and verbal English. Able to produce copy to publication standards
  • Experience of working with and managing digital  agencies and providing appropriate briefing, management and creative evaluation in place
  • IT skills – excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other relevant software packages that support the full range of digital acquisition, awareness, engagement and measurement activities we undertake
  • Considerable experience of working in a digital marketing function or digital agency
  • Preferably considerable experience of working within a UK financial services organisation or UK financial services clients
