We have set up Legal & General Financial Advice (LGFA) to give people greater access to good quality advice about lifetime mortgages.

The role of Adviser will be responsible for achieving all business objectives and key result areas by building and maintaining professional working relationships with our Customer Service Agents and to deliver the most appropriate advice and service to our customers in relation to Lifetime Mortgages. Your key responsibilities will include.. 

  • You will ensure that in all dealings with customers and our partners, that the requirements of the Legal & General Employee Conduct, Advice and Vulnerable Customer policies are met
  • Through a comprehensive knowledge of the market, LGHF Products and Services, the needs of our customers and the agreed advice process, achieve all agreed objectives to optimise customer outcomes and maximise growth.
  • You will operate in accordance with the compliance requirements of Legal & General, including the DPA and to ensure the advice given and any associated documentation, meets the requirements detailed in the Advice Standards.
  • You will operate within the agreed Legal & General Performance Management Scheme, to meet the required KPI standards and to ensure capabilities are maintained and developed as required.
  • You will inform, nurture and support customers throughout the advice process and ensure the ongoing management of customer relationships.
  • You will ensure that advice and industry knowledge is maintained and kept up to date through a programme of ongoing learning and development in line with industry CPD requirements.
  • You will demonstrate & promote a client centric approach towards advice at all times to exceed customer expectations.
  • Treating Customer Fairly – Build empathy and trust with the client to ensure consistent & high quality advice is provided in line with the LGFA Advice Policy whilst acting in the best interests of the customer at all times. 
  • You will have passed the required Industry appropriate exams and maintain qualifications such as CF6 & ER1, and maintain qualifications and knowledge through effective CPD
  • You will understand the current issues facing the industry including regulatory direction and government thinking.
  • You will have maintained an appropriate level of CPD in accordance with a personal development plan.
  • You will be able to assess all forms of data, assimilate in order to determine order of importance.
  • You will have a track record of building effective relationships in complex environments
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to successfully engage and influence a broad range of individuals across various businesses and key support functions
  • You will have proven experience of informing, nurturing and supporting customers throughout the advice process and ensure the ongoing management of customer relationships
  • You will have demonstrable experience & promote a client centric approach towards advice at all times to exceed customer expectations.
