Exciting opportunity to join LGIM and the sought after Nexus team based in Cardiff (6 month FTC). Working with a team of consultants you will take a lead role to deliver approved coding into the Charles River platform.

Working within a team of four Consultant Coders in Cardiff, the primary responsibility of this role is to deliver the remediation of LGIM’s existing book of business onto the Charles River’s CRIMS (Charles River Investment Management System) platform.

The individual fulfilling this role will be required to working in conjunction with the other programme work streams to deliver a monitoring framework that meets the requirements of the Coding & Monitoring teams and their LGIM /LGIMA stakeholders. They will be required to attend and participate in other working groups as dictated by the Programme Manager,

There will be a need to work with peers and LGIM stakeholders remotely via telephone, email and video-conferencing where specified.

Coding Responsibilities

  • Code and approve other coders guideline restrictions into the Charles River platform
  • Ensure that all new rules coded into Charles River relating to Client and Product restrictions are tested
  • Support the GMC Coding team with on-going maintenance and improvement of the GMC Monitoring processes with a focus on standardisation and automation

The sucessful incumbent will possess a proven background and experience within Asset Management, specifically investment compliance. Had exposure to funds and segregated mandates that cover all ranges of assets classes including complex derivative instruments. In addition you'll need to have an implicit understanding of Investment products and investment structures and the breadth of Legal documentation supporting Investment Guidelines and Guideline Compliance Coding.

  • Proven Charles River Advanced Coding experience
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Investment Management Certificate (IMC) preferred
  • Intermediate to advance Excel knowledge (VBA would be advantageous)
  • Strong logical thinking and problem solving ability
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to multi task in a face paced environment
